Help! 2010 Halfords Apollo Slant MTB. Conversion?

Is this bike a suitable candidate for conversion to an ebike? It's an old silly-cheap-at-the-time 2010s MTB from Halfords into an ebike 250 W, 500-600 kWh, ~80 Nm torque?

The bike's a 20"-frame with 26" wheels. Not sure of the weight, about 16 kg.

How possible and easy would it be for someone with zero/rubbish technical/practical knowledge and skills to do the conversion?

Mounting the battery in that small frame triangle will be an issue

This one has disc brakes so would be better. All Halfords bikes are designed for maximum rider weight 120kg +20kg of luggage. The electrical kit is about 7kg, so that leaves 133kg for the rider as long as you don't carry any luggage.

In actual fact, 120kg +20kg is the test spec. They test that the bike won't break with that load on it during normal cycling. It's pass or fail test. When the bike passes the test, that's what they guarantee it can do. It can probably carry 200kg without breaking, but they don't test to find out.

Thanks vfr400. Instead of getting a new bike, wouldn't it just be easier to get new wheels and disc brakes for the old Apollo Slant?

It's not clear but looks like rear disc brake is out as no braised on fitting for a calliper, though rear HDB isn't to important as most braking force is at the front end of the bike.
Front disc brake would need new forks with calliper fitment and a new disc hub built in to a rim and a front HDB. If unable to do the work yourself then costs mount up.

If I bought the Apollo Evade, which conversion kit/components would I need to go for to help move (PAS) my bulk up gradients?

For legal 250w kit go to Woosh also if you have an issue their won't be expensive returns out of the UK.
