Fancy!

Although it's not just the height of the handlebars, but also the angle of the stem. A mountain bike's stem tends to be more parallel to the ground.
It's adjustable, I have mine almost parallel to the ground. It does need to be done up quite tight to stop it slipping though.

does the bike without suspension feel lighter? Will be interested to see how you feel re this as I may go for it if its lighter and not to much different on the road (weight in a motorhome is a problem so any saving is good)
It does feel lighter and the ride on the road is not bad even on bumpy sections, I could manage quite easily without the suspension forks.
The suspension for me is a safety aid so when I hit a big pothole fast I don't break anything, I also like the disk brake for when I'm travelling faster than I should be.

Thats odd....on Wisper site the sport (with suspension) is 23kg and the City (without) is 24kg......... must be heavy mudguards:confused:

they have a new white bike on site as well the 905 city S :)

I don't know about the weight but I bought a City S a year ago, I think a lot of people were asking for it even though it wasn't listed.

Delighted to hear full length mudguards are at last available - I've emailed Norman for details re.my 2008 se Sport which will look (and work) so much better as a commuter bike with 'proper' mudguards.....

I had a closer look at the Wisper mudguards as the roads were wet this morning, they are better than the ones I have and come down much lower. I don't know what the cost is but it will be worth a few quid more as they offer good protection.

Hi Rich

The new bikes do not come with a green button as they are (strictly speaking) illegal.

However......

If you ask your supplier we have loads in stock and they can be retro fitted. We do not make a charge for them at the moment.

If you are going to use the bike "off road" you can permanently de-restrict it by opening the front connection box and removing the white loop from the de-restrict circuit, this is the point that the green button would be connected if you wanted to retro fit one.

Green button

Hi Thunder

The difference in having and not having the de restrict is not massive.

The motor is geared to the wheel, so the bike gets maximum torque at low speeds and just over 25kph (15.5 mph) when at full speed. The gearing on the 905 will take the bike up to about 18/19mph if the restrict is taken off. The main reason people like the de restrict de commissioned is the power is still supplied to the motor when you are pedaling at over 15mph.

Don't forget the de restrict is for off road only!

All the best David

Thunder - you may find that in effect your bike is permenantly derestricted, as was mine when I fist got it. This was because there was a break in the wires running from the front connection box to the switch, and the circuit has to be closed in order to enable the restriction. You can check this for yourself with a continuity tester, that't how I found my fault.
