10'000 miles (Or 16093km sounds better)

It's taken about 2years 4months to finally reach my milestone.
Still with all the same parts, battery, chain, gears, tyres etc however my battery is weak but still gives me the required milage between charges and my chain feels a bit clicky occasionally.
I've done the odd bit of maintenance but I think I've under-estimated how long all these parts would last and have had spare's ready to fit from the start but as long as it all works as is I am just going to leave everything alone.
I am currently carrying a second battery on the parcel shelf(20ah 6kg block) with me too as occasionally my battery has given up which means my bike weighs in at about a tonne for now.

Although on the whole the bike is looking a bit weathered/faded from being left outside in all weathers it still plods on and must have easily paid for itself by now so is pretty much free transport and is one of the most successful project's I've done.
----------------------------------------------
Here's to the next 10'000 miles

This got me thinking today just how long have I spent sat pedaling on the bike?
Well lets say aprox 40mins per 10mile trip done twice a day
80mins per day
nearly 7 hours per week
about 30 hours per month
--------------------------
or in total nearly 28 days sat on a bike
no wonder I need a comfy gel cover on my seat.

We are missing "humongous high five, congratulations" in the little icons at the bottom so I have written it in all letters!

With the new bike I can see myself doing more kilometers in the off season. How many more than 3200 km a year I don't know. I walk 5 minutes to work. SWMBO insists that I go shopping with her car "for your safety" so maybe you have an unfair advantage stopping me from equaling your mileage?

Tell us what is your secret? ;)
