Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

Maybe also advertise it in a few other places? Cycling UK has a forum where you can sell bikes (not specifically ebikes but people sell all sorts of bikes: tourers, vintage, recumbents, trikes as well as ebikes). I have sold bikes there in the past. https://forum.cyclinguk.org. You don't...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

My partner has an Orbea bike with a Mahle motor. It is a nice bike but as as you say the Mahle is more aimed at people wanting a bit of assistance. The battery is only 250 Whr so many people have the motor switched off when you don't need it. I think the Mahle used in Orbea and Ribble is a...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

It is still on order. I've bought bikes online before so I don't anticipate any problem with the fit but I can send it back within 30 days if necessary. It usually takes me a year or more to find out if I really get on with a bike though so I have been through the process of selling bikes...

Disabled cyclist; with one bad choice behind her, needs help with a new bike

    Returning to ebikes

Yes I read about some of these sorts of reviews but it is now 2 years since Ride 60 has been released and there have been a number of firmwear upgrades plus I think they have made changes to the hardware to solve the initial problems. Apparently it is far more reliable now than when it was...

    Returning to ebikes

It looks like I want (to some extent) the opposite to Katy. Not too much assistance, bike with top tube rather than step through, no suspension, definitely not sit up and beg. Everyone wants something different. Hopefully we can all find the right bike for our needs.

    Returning to ebikes

I'm returning to ebikes. My original ebike was about 6 years ago (Shimano Steps mid drive hybrid) but I didn't take to it and I sold it. Main reasons were: weight of the bike, too much assistance/not enough exercise, didn't like the drag from the motor when switched off or above 15mph. So I...
