Yea I don’t really want to pedal a 25kg bike for 30 mins with the chance of nothing happening, I’m sure a hard reset or something would do the same as that and it’s done nothing. Do you know if it’s a regular old usb cable I need or a special one to connect?

Is it like an app or like a physical thing you can buy? Like you can diagnose it yourself? Also I got an email back from Haibike. Basically telling me that a new motor is probably required (see pic). Hope this helps

Hmm so I’ve just did that diagnostics and everything is normal in it, no error codes, all voltage is fine mines 0.5 and the sensor is reading the revolutions? I do not know what to do now as it seems the pcb is ok? Or it would show in the codes wouldn’t it? I’ll email haibike and ask if it would...

Thanks mate that helps, how did you get to see the error code as I can’t seem to find any on mine? Is there some button configuration you need to do? Maybe my bike is in limp mode as in some earlier posts I posted my magnet from the sensor and it was miles off, it’s still off now as it rubs...

Mine is about 4 years old and he still said that there is no symptoms that they are gonna go and you can’t expect it to go it just goes it must be at any random point. He said he’s dealt with a couple haibike a like that and that’s been the issue all the time. Hope you get yours fixed. Regards

Yes my local dealer said you just bring the motor in to them and they actually don’t do it themselves they send it to someone, not sure who and they inspect the pcb board and tell you a quote, he said usually it’s 400-500. Personally I am going to wait for a motor to pop up on eBay as this one’s...

So I’ve just phoned a specialist today and he said that it’s the pcb board that is in the motor. I had a look at mine and it looks perfect but he says one of the sensors has probably gone on it and it doesn’t show any signs of usage or burns etc. Hope this helps. Kind regards

Yeah, I don’t just want to go guessing and buy a display. I think the best bet is to probably take it to a bike shop nd see if they can see the error code. I’ll probably take the motor apart first as it sounds a little clunky sometimes.

Ok thanks for that, yeah I did the sensor and didn’t sort I’m not sure how to test the display to see if the sensor signals getting there, is there a way to do that? Also I will probably start taking the motor apart through the week with the help of the video you sent. Thanks mate

Yeah little bit more over here, I just hope I can try and fix this motor could just be something rubbing or some dirt etc.

Not to sure to be honest, I’d imagine from new and I think it’s a 2022 model so prob 3/4 years old (could be 2021). There’s one motor on there, not pw st I think it’s like pw tx or smth for 250 130 miles on it. But I’ll have a mess with mine for now. See if anything’s out of the ordinary

Update Found a post on different forum. Will add link. People saying this has happened to them, exact same issue and speed sensor won’t fix, apparently there was a bad batch of Yamaha motors that had a software issue, most of them being bad after 300 miles, new motor fixed it. I’m not sure if...

That’s a good idea that, sort of like a screen protector on a phone but for rain. Yes I will definitely do that for my bike as they are 100 for them displays :-/ so dont wanna ruin that aha. Thanks for the tip and I’ll definitely be doing that once this issues sorted!

Hmm, i might try to take it to a diagnostics and see what’s wrong, then I’ll probably be able to fix myself as long as it’s not the motor or something, yeah 88 personally I think its cheap as he just paid 45 pound for mine. Thanks for the reply!

No I didn’t to be honest, could it be the controller off of the symptoms? The 0kmph, flashing odo some motor power but then cuts out?
