    Thanks for your help. You were right that there was an "open circuit" - the servicers took five minutes to find that one of the wires had disconnected from the ignition, and its coming loose in the first place must have been what caused the fuse to blow last week.     The charger lights on top of the battery have all gone off, no matter what I do with the key, so I rather think there is a battery issue. But I will take it home and try charging it and see what happens. It may well be a water issue, considering the terrible weather we've had recently.
