    Converting Carrera Subway 2

Hi there, does filing the dropouts ever affect the disc brake? Does it throw it off or is there usually still enough play in it to work without more adjustment? I’m looking to get the axle probably 2-3mm deeper into the dropouts (rear)

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

Hi guys. Turns out I was being really stupid, the phase wires that I took out the little joining block (to get some washers over and left them loose) were randomly touching causing the juddering, when I moved the bike they must have moved enough not to touch to let it spin freely . Thanks for...

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

I will double check for wobble but sure it felt pretty solid , but I will need to try and wiggle when it is shudder and when it stops . I will check with battery once I have fitted but I’m expecting it be the same

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

Rear hub motor juddering when spun by hand /pedalled

Yeah when spun both ways . It’s not a geared hub motor though if that makes a difference. If I spin backwards And forwards a few times it sorts itself for a wee while . Is it likely to do the same when I connect battery?

    New battery recommendations

A little update on my greenlance battery - I’m at 1700 miles no issues so far , still getting great range on a single change. My round trip is 22miles and manages this fine although I sometimes top up at each either end . Cheers

Rear brake caliper won’t fit with motor

Sadly pics won’t upload, I’ve fitted 3 washers internal of the frame and that seems to have solved it. Is that to many washers ? I will be fitting at least 1 torque arm also , possibly 2 if that’s what anyone recommends , Thanks again

Rear brake caliper won’t fit with motor

Hi guys, as per the title, the rear hydraulic brake caliper is way out, not even room to fit it to the iso adapter. I have read mechanical disc brakes are thinner and offer more room, has anyone had similar problems and how did u solve without changing frame, Thanks in advance

    New battery recommendations

So I went for the 48v20ah battery from greenlance, got with thiet Black Friday discount code so made the price very reasonable for that size of battery. Great customer service from Greenlance, added in an extra charger at my request and sent a link to pay the extra, all quite simple. On my 11...

    New battery recommendations

Hi guys, After over 5 years my battery’s range is reduced enough for me to consider buying a new one (it’s convered almost 10,000 miles) I’m eyeing a UPP on eBay 48v 20ah OR I’ve just seen a 48v24.5ah from pedal ease. My previous was only 13ah so looking for something 20ish ah to help with...

Ok I see your point- I may just get the bigger battery, and use it or maintain current speeds I’m getting . And hopefully the battery lasts me longer that 200 charges
