Thank you for the suggestions. I'll have a go over the weekend and report back on my success.
Last minor problem to overcome and I have a really great kit.
Thank you for the quick response.
1) Yes I believe I do have the narrow square BB.May I ask how you fixed it with the coffee can.
2) Thank you, that saves me worrying about that then.
3) Thanks once again, that's a relief, good to know there is nothing wrong with it.
Hi,
Since the initial excitement with my Oxydrive I've hit a couple of minor snags.
Today when cycling home my Sensor ring stopped turning and the drive cut out. I wasn't sure why until I got the bike home and had a closer inspection where I noticed the sensor ring with the magnets had stopped...
I noticed that on my first test ride today. Was a bit of a shock, Came to a standstill at the junction and casually turned the pedals and off I went again.
Do love the boost when starting off, but just got to ensure I only get it when I want it.
Finally put mine together this weekend.
Took longer than expected due to a few minor niggles such as cable ties being too short, cassette tool not fitting over the new hub, needing a 4.5mm washer as my bike is only 7 speed.
Once I had overcome these delays I was finally able to put the bike...
Looks like the offer has ended.
Perhaps if you email them, they may do a deal for you as you've only just missed the deadline.
I bought mine a couple of weeks back, but had a couple of minor setbacks so I'm not quite up and running.
The cassette tool I had didn't fit over the new hub, so had...
Looks great Bolt,
Have you got a torque arm on the bike?
I was unsure whether to get one but have decided to add one to my build for that peace of mind
Ignore the below.... I've read back through the thread and discovered I need the 12mm.

Good evening,
I've bought the oxydrive...
Will do, went to order it last night but realised I hadn't updated my new card on paypal.
Frustratingly I now have to wait for a code to be able to link the card to my account.
Going to have to wait until tomorrow now :(
Thanks Bolt,
I agree, that was what has had me leaning towards the Oxydrive. It does look neater and not having to remove the pedal is a bonus.
Thank you for the pics and updates.
Going to order an Oxydrive
Thank you for the update.
I'm now considering this over the EBC kit at £425 as although £100 more it seems like a £100 well spent?
I can afford to go to £525 unless anyone else has some input or recommendations. I plan to purchase tomorrow.
My other option would be a full electric bike...
Update.
Heard from Jamie who was most helpful, In my earlier post I was little impatient in my rush to get by bike up and running. Jamie has got back to my emails and he has been very accommodating.
Based on my updated experience I'd be happy to purchase from EBC.
Thank you for the replies.
I tried through their website and followed up through their direct email address.
Haven't been able to call as I'm currently working long shifts. This is often the case which is why I like email contact, I can send an email at unsociable times when a call is not...
Was looking to buy a kit from them after a recommendation on my thread, however, in the past week they haven't responded to the couple of emails I've sent.
Will have to shop elsewhere as a lack of communication when trying to buy doesn't bode well if needing assistance if anything goes wrong...
That you for this, I've had time to look through the pics and I'm really impressed. You've done an amazing job!
Sadly, I don't have your skill level. Very impressed and thank you for sharing
Thank you, that sounds good.
I'd like to use it legally on the road but it'd be great if at weekends I could take it on track and go a bit quicker if need be.
Is it possible to have this rated at 250W and then change the settings for more power on weekends?
Also what mileage are you getting...
Thank you for the input, really appreciated and a lot of options to consider.
I have now dismissed the option of leaving my bike at the station as it'll either get ruined or stolen.
I've been thinking about the options of a cheaper bike to convert or a fold up bike. Although great suggestions...
Thanks Neal,
That is my major concern, I've just been looking at the local train station online and the bike racks aren't even covered which isn't great.
I'll have a look at the Oxydrive cst kit, thank you for the recommendation.
