    Yes, the answer as discussed with my local bike shop technician is that you have to remove the chain tensioner. Think its a 5mm hex key.

    Thanks, I think (with a bit of deduction) I need to remove the chain tensioner. It clearly stops the wheel coming out. Will get some pics and add them to the post for others.

    Thanks for the reply, Shimano step is a hub gear type system so no gear sprockets so to speak :-(
