    Still, you've got to laugh.

    Roll over Bethoven.

Ah but a cat has nine lives ;) I've always been very interested in the universe, multiverse, nature of reality, however you want to put it. I don't think people are curious enough. I'd go as far as to say it is our duty to be and remain highly curious about what is, after all, the biggest...

How (not) to encourage children to cycle

Aye, the majority simply stick to the roads as they're easier to find. I know I do :(

    Workplace pensions,would you be in?

I've had my money in an index tracker in an ISA, for the past 11 years. No entry fee, no exit fee, no management fee. Doubles your investment every seven years. I wouldn't trust anything else.

How (not) to encourage children to cycle

Bring on the Dutch system. That's what I say.

How (not) to encourage children to cycle

That's daft. Imagine having to get off your bike and push each time the pavement runs out.

    Roll over Bethoven.

Not really a big fan of Beethoven's symphonies. I much prefer his opus 111 and Diabelli Variations. Pure genius. As for the EU, I've never liked the idea of a federal superstate. We're in a lot of trouble. This country is run by foreigners, ruled by Brussels and made in China.

    Chain Lubricant

Blimey. It seems chain lubricant is a can of worms. Very much appreciate all this input and I'll need to study what's been said. But one thing's abundantly clear...

    Chain Lubricant

I'd like to know which lubricant is used on the FreeGo Hawk chain. Hopefully, I can find and use the same.

    General e-bike function questions

I've been led to believe by FreeGo that the THROTTLE is for "cruising" and should never be used alone to climb hills. The manual tells us to first get up to speed on a flat using pedal assist, and THEN engage the throttle if we want to stop pedalling.

    Warranty

Excellent. I was already in the process of ordering that very one and from that very place. I see I have little choice but to start chopping my bike to pieces. A few minutes, eh? If you can help me get started and it's on the bike inside two hours, I'll give you a gold star ;) And speaking of...

    Warranty

Have the bike now. Took exactly a fortnight. Now to try and find a mirror that doesn't require butchering the end of my handlebar in order to fit it, which is what my dealer wanted to do :/ Thanks for keeping me company :)

Thanks. I'm not sure the company is to blame for the delay. Shall speak with the dealer this afternoon.

    Where Do You Live V2.0

No joy, I'm afraid. It seems to break my phone. But don't worry about it.

I rang Freego, who claim to have had the wheel just two days before sending my dealer a replacement. How long does it take to replace a rear wheel? Thirteen days and counting...

    Warranty

Appreciating the input. I just called the dealer again, who tells me I will have the fixed bike back next week. He didn't seem to be aware of Freego's new bike policy. I don't really know what's going on. All I do know is that at the very soonest I will have been without the bike for ten days.

    Warranty

I'm just wondering where they'd get my new bike from ;)
  19. A

    Warranty

Yes but if you read the small-print, they say five working days while they have the bike, not counting transportation time. And a wheel ain't a bike. (At least not in this particular situation.) The dealer mentioned the China problem to me, over the phone. So I assumed they have no good stock.

battery range /power seems to have decreased

I was talking about storing the battery unused for three months. And I'm led to believe that room temperature is not a good idea.
