My pedals are the Nukeproof ones. They get smashed hard into rocks and roots regularly and have survived well. I wouldn't dare ride with £160 pedals! Too scared of damaging them.

This is unreal! I bought a new chain for my Haibike allmtn rc and it was 136 links. I felt it was a bit long so cut off 4 making it 132 long. The Brecon Beacons was on our to do list and yesterday was our first trip there. Starting from Talybont the 19 mile round trip took in 2 reservoirs, long climbs, forest roads, rocky tracks and mountain trails. Very nice indeed.....
