    £5k to spend

Hi, I'm an ex am moto x racer too and I've never felt the need for more than the legal motor. You will be getting your adrenaline kick on the downhill sections mainly. 50+ mph is attainable if you're brave! On the flat technical trails a dongled bike won't be any advantage for controlling the...

    New ebiker

Hi Glen, did you try the new Skills track at FOD? We did it last time there and found it great fun and an exciting addition to the Forests attractions.

My pedals are the Nukeproof ones. They get smashed hard into rocks and roots regularly and have survived well. I wouldn't dare ride with £160 pedals! Too scared of damaging them.

eBike racing at FOD this weekend, anyone going?

I would expect the answer to that would be.....? ''Don't be ridiculous. Can you see any cable ties on my bike!"

eBike racing at FOD this weekend, anyone going?

You must be at least 6' 6" to have frame that size?

    I see your cheating then!

I do sometimes feel like I'm cheating when riding my emtb but I try to keep it on the lowest power setting to get the best workout. I always feel exhausted at the end of a day out. Apart from the fact they're illegal, I can't see the point of using a dongle? I crap myself when doing 30mph on...

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed

Just been out and counted. There are 124 links on my chain. So I have cut off more than I thought! This is the chain fitted to the bike as standard. Don't accept anything else.... https://www.adrenalinatv.co.uk/shop/components/kmc-ebike-series-x10e-ept-chain-136-links/

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed

This is unreal! I bought a new chain for my Haibike allmtn rc and it was 136 links. I felt it was a bit long so cut off 4 making it 132 long. Stick a 116 link chain on and you won't get the top 2 gears. Are these people for real? Give Adrenaline a call and see what size they recommend before the...

The Brecon Beacons was on our to do list and yesterday was our first trip there. Starting from Talybont the 19 mile round trip took in 2 reservoirs, long climbs, forest roads, rocky tracks and mountain trails. Very nice indeed.....

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed

But we've only heard one side of the story atm. I would like to know why he was told by them to start moving with the motor turned off?

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed

I think you should name the shop and tell them about this thread to give them a chance to give their account of the situation. It doesn't look good for them as it stands? You have had massive grief for such a minor problem!

    Bosch power

A true adrenaline junkie! And you live in the Lake Distrct home of some of the best mtbiking in the UK. Get an all mountain full suspension emtb! You'll love it.

    lots of hate out there

Lots of ignorance about emtb's on there. A very entertaining thread though. Thinking of putting my own views on?

Brand new Haibike, two broken chains in first 35 miles, and other problems, advice needed

This has got to be the missing link not put on properly? Buy what Trevormonty says. £10-15 will cover that and they are an important part of a toolkit. Check out youtube vids on how to do this easy procedure. I use the same chain and it gets massive abuse and has never broken. Telling you to...
