    Bike carrier purchase advice wanted

I don't know how big the Fiesta is but I have an Almera and if I fold down the back seats, I can fit either my Kudos Tourer or the Santana in if I remove the front wheel.

I know but if you read the post I quoted you'll see why I posted. :)

    Bike carrier purchase advice wanted

On the Thule tow bar rack which I have, you don't use a dummy cross bar. The bike sits fine on the rack and the holding arm clamps perfectly onto it.

For Sale Woosh Sport CD almost new.

How many of the negative comments came from people who had ridden a Woosh CD? I put a report on about my hill climb challenge with my wife's Santana CD. I mentioned it clunking when changing down when going uphill but I also mentioned that I was deliberately in too high a gear just to see what...

    Bike carrier purchase advice wanted

On my wife's car, we use a thule carrier which hangs on the back. We got a tow bar place to fit a wiring socket inside the boot. We then got a light board with a number plate which hangs on the carrier. The Santana doesn't have a crossbar on it so you need to buy a dummy cross bar to fit it on a...

    Cycleguard insurance

BEBA do ebike insurance. They'd probably be your best bet since they all sell 250w bikes.

Range on 10,4 Ah water bottle style battery

The hot weather is relative to what you're used to. One of the commonwealth games competitors was asked what they thought of Scotland. They liked it here but thought it was too cold.. :( We're running about in shorts and tee shirts thinking it's roasting. :)

On that part, you and I are in complete agreement. :)

Range on 10,4 Ah water bottle style battery

I've said it before but I'll say it again, I don't do calculations, I just go out and play and get 30ish miles on the Typhoon and more than 30 on the Tourer. I don't live on the flat. It's not mountains where I live but it's all hilly. Maybe I am fitter than I thought but when out on my normal...

Range on 10,4 Ah water bottle style battery

I've never had a battery go flat in 15 miles. Neither on my Tourer nor my Typhoon. I'm sometimes lazy and let the bike do most of the work and still get 30ish.

    Newbie with dodgy knees!

You'll be thinking, "this is the best thing I've ever bought" ;)

Range on 10,4 Ah water bottle style battery

I get 30 miles roughly on the Typhoon depending on how much work I do. I've done 30 miles and the battery was dead and on another day, I've done 30 miles and it wasn't dead. On the Tourer I get 35 miles normally although on one glorious day last year I got 45 miles. That wasn't so much hill...

Do I need three batteries, or only two?

I like a challenge, on my days off I'll get my Merida out and give it a go.

Do I need three batteries, or only two?

If I could do 40 miles without power, I wouldn't have an electric bike. Personally, I'd take a third battery if I had one.

Speakers on an ebike - any thoughts?

I never listen to the voices in my head. If I did, a couple of people would be in trouble. ;)

    'Bike' car

Strangely enough, more than 50 years ago, my father had a Rolls Royce hearse. He was never an undertaker he just bought it. No one knows why, especially my mother. It was used many times to house a card school with a few shillings at stake. Maybe that's why I'm unorthodox and do daft things...

    Battery Sizes

I have both a Kudos Touer and a Kudos Typhoon. Both with 10ah batteries. If you get a Typhoon, don't bet that you won't do more than 20 miles. It's not hard to go out playing and end up more than 10 miles from home.

    Battery Sizes

Both my bikes have 10 ah batteries and most of the times I go out I take a spare battery on the rack.. most of my trips are over 20 miles and I'm never sure where or how far I'm going. I'd like a 15ah battery. :)
