    Cycling Industry Bubble Burst

Economy needs a shakeup. Second hand cars and vans have dropped. New EV prices fallen. House prices dropped a bit. High street dying. Will bounce back but not this year. Worries me a little as I see the decline all around

    Battery switch leave on?

Bike is in the garage and I put on for 2 hours on a timer. Takes about 3 hours to charge fully as starting around 60%. Good enough. Sometimes I put on charge in the evening and watch until its full. Yeah, I switch off to remove battery but I leave on all the time. Guess I should switch off to...

    Battery switch leave on?

My 36v battery has an on off switch. If I leave it on unit shuts down after about 10mins. I do switch it on and off on every ride but I often think I might as well just leave on? Maybe just turn off at night when I charge. Oh. Charger is on a switched timer for safety at night..

Commuter bike for 6’1 14 stone man

I'd just buy a conversation kit and fiddle with the settings. Or buy one from woosh or wisper. I get 18mph with my stamped 250w kit and through the woods I go steady with dog walkers and it's a bit slippy in the mud. Guess I go about 7- 10mph.. I would not want a big powerful scrambling e-bike...

How do you deal with a puncture/breakdown when out?

I've got two similar ones. I haven't got the strength to push air in and the hissing as the tyre slowly deflates is funny

How do you deal with a puncture/breakdown when out?

I've got several bike tyre pumps costing around £10 each and all useless junk. Got a T bar floor pump in garage and another at work. They work great. Everything else is as useful at an ice cube and daffodil for inflating a bike tyres, so unless I carry a T floor pump which is too big, I'll never...

    Riding in the rain footwear

No. 7am. Dark. Lashing with rain and nail right through tyre and both sides of inner tube. Nightmare. Time before I'd of never spotted the thorn in tyre. Again it was dark

    That's the spokes done

I'll add. Just for interest. I'd use Ciret Masq Purple low tack masking tape. Toolstation sell that or tesa yellow tape on a wheel. Frog tape is also good and the only tape with polymer beads (Powder) on edge which is why it comes in plastic case. Frog yellow is best as green sticks too well...

    Bike stand half price Amazon

Find a bank card bust it.. I'd never hand in. Just bend in half to kill the RFID. Re bike. It's a tuff one. Most bikes never get claimed but you do get the option of getting it if unclaimed. Keep meaning to stamp my postcode on my bike frame somewhere.

    Make a helmet visor

I thought about a mask. I'll try one this morning to see if its a more comfortable ride being warmer on face. The mask debate is not worth having. Any mask should be face fitted to test seal then in the real world will the seal break as you moved about. Will the mask actually filter everything...

    Make a helmet visor

You can see 3 magnets in my photo where I fitted a visor. Because the style of helmet I have, the visor hardly made it past my eyebrows. I needed something way bigger reaching across my face

    Mountain bike brake pads

@guerney Tyre had a small hole through where nail was but a small cut on the side. Very small damage but visible. The nail punctured my first thorn repair from a couple of months ago. What are the chances! I pushed some rubber glue in hole and I cut a tube patch in half and stuck inside tyre...
