    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

Bought a "Shimano CASS HG41 7 Speed" cassette, and it does need a spacer. Any idea what thickness spacer is required. Looking on line, some spacers have inner teeth, others don't, what sort is best? Guessing one without teeth would need to be thicker?

    Bottom Bearing Spindle Length

Picked up a new Shimano BB-UN54 (68mm x 115mm) cassette from my bike store on Saturday only to discover:- The spindle dia is 16.8mm, (old BB was 16mm) so LS sensor will not slide over it. It has a plastic locking collar, that has tight slots, so the tags on the LS sensor will not slot in. Need...

Do I Have The Correct Pedal Sensor?

Hi Woosh, My kit arrived today, but the left hand pedal sensor has a hex hole, rather than a square one. Do I have the correct part?

    Bottom Bearing Spindle Length

With the 116mm spindle, the gap was about 9mm, so hopefully I will not need to go to 122mm or higher. My Woosh kit should be delivered today, so I'll check gaps with the existing BB and the left side pedal sensor before ordering anything new.

    Bottom Bearing Spindle Length

I'm converting my bike with a rear hub kit, and whilst I'm at it I want to replace the bottom bracket, as the bearings have some play in them. Took it out tonight, and its 68mm housing with a 116mm spindle. I am going for a Shimano BB-UN55, which comes as 68 x 115, or 68 x 118. Would it be best...

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

Order placed with Woosh today for the MXUS XF08C rear hub kit and hydraulic brake sensors. Have to say, they have been very helpful answering all my questions. I now need to source a 7-speed 14-28T cassette, as mine is currently a free wheel, and will renew the BB (has some play), and the brake...

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

And I've just spent my lunch break looking at the 36v BBS01B kit. Costs more, but looks interesting and is quite tempting....... decisions, decisions!!

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

So, I have sent my bike details to Woosh, to see which of their kits they recommend, and what PAS I need. They have a kMXUS XF08C kit, and a Befang SWX02 kit. How do these 2 motors compare?

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

Having never tried an eBike, I managed to have a trial ride on a Raleigh Captus this morning. Loved the assistance, and the way it went up hills, so convinced an eBike is the way forward :). One thing I didn't like was the drag / braking effect as soon as I stopped pedalling. The Captus had a...

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

Forgive my ignorance (this is all very new to me), but what are you referring to regarding "the CS"?

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

So, I think I have narrowed it down to 2 options. 26" Yose 350W 36V rear hub kit, with either the 14.5Ah HaiLong battery, or the 12.8Ah LG cell battery (depending on which one I end up thinking looks better!). Woosh XF08 CST rear hub kit. Not sure of the Pro's and Con's of either, but my...

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

I found some email addresses for Yose on their website, so have emailed to ask when they will have new stock in.

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

Hi DynatechFan. I found the Yose website, and the stuff looks pretty good, but as you said, they do not seem to have any stock. Found that Panda do a rear hub kit for around £600 with 10.4Ah battery. What is their stuff like? Strangely, I cannot find a phone number on their website to have a...

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

Any recommendations for rear kits? A look on Google has found some Woosh kits, but Woosh don't use Cycle Scheme. Electric bike conversions have this kit http://www.electric-bike-conversions.co.uk/acatalog/electric_bike_rear_hub_kit_details.html#SID=2, which with 11Ah pannier battery, 7 speed...

    Raleigh Stonefly Conversion?

As I live only 7.2 miles from work, and it's along country lanes, I feel I should be cycling to work rather than driving, however I really don't want to get to work sweaty and needing a shower. So using an electric bike came to mind, also my employer is part of cyclesheme.co.uk, which would give...

Thinking of an eBike for commuting.

Just joined this forum, as my employer is part of cyclesheme, and I live fairly close to work (7.5 miles, avoiding main roads). I feel guilty driving, but don't want to get to work needing to have a shower! Started looking at sub £1000 bikes, but now wondering if I might be better off...
