Unsolder, or strip them and put them together? Then use the switch in the front to turn on and off? I think that's what you are suggesting. Is that safer than putting in a toggle switch? I will be ordering a keyswitch, but i do want to use in the meantime.

So Thanks for your help everyone. I just took it to a motorbike repair and sat there with the guy to diagnose. Looks like the key is too loose and not connecting the wires consistently. When i turn the key, there is a lot of play and the power flickers on and off when i giggle it. I don't know...

Hi Mike, I don't have a multitester, but when i do get power, its full throttle, then shuts off, until i turn it off and on again, or giggle the key.

My bike worked fine, and i hit some potholes, hard. The battery is loose, and when I turn on the bike, the power indicator flickers on and off. I'm hoping its a loose wire, but where to look? Also, the turn key feels loose, and it works when i jiggle it for a minute, then stops again. I don't...
