    Brexit, for once some facts.

A great policy called National Insurance. I know we have been giving away free treatment to people who haven’t taken out a policy and this has caused some deterioration in the level of cover. But I guess that’s tough titty. New Zealand for example make you have a full medical to expose any...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

I think we all understand the mechanics of the numbers, if 40 vote against their leader etc. However, when a party has 80 more voting MPs than all of the other parties put together, we here, call that an 80 seat majority. It’s just the way things roll.

He didn’t vote against the deal. He voted against May to weaken her. He wanted and successfully took her job. I suppose we shall see in the coming days whether my thoughts are correct.

80 = 40 in Ireland. To convert from English to Irish you divide by the number of leaves on a four leaf clover and then double the result. Simple.

That doesn’t just happen by standing idly by. It’s driven by a team, and in this instance, a team put together by Johnson.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Did he? Did he promise them a no deal Brexit? Their influence is very much diminished now. Johnson might crap all over them and go for a very soft Brexit. The one he’s wanted all along.

It didn’t work for TM. Same circumstances, different team, different outcome.

I’m pleased to have brightened your day.:) I don’t know, he’s surrounded himself with a team that has delivered him a huge majority in the GE. Corbyn did give him a leg up though.

Johnson is pretty useless as a practitioner, but I believe he has an eye for talented and capable people. That skill will be very useful to him.

I think Johnson is a liberal Tory at heart. Now he has a large 80 seat majority, he can put The ERG in a box and put a brick on the lid.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The Tories won 365 seats. The combined opposition won 285 seats. 365 - 285 = 80. Therefore the Tories have an 80 more seats than the combined opposite.

Ok, Johnson has a track record of lying. Let’s remain optimistic and see what happens. I’m not over the moon with the GE result, but I am relieved that Corbyn isn’t going to steal my houses.

Labour were promising massive borrowing and tens of thousands of million pound spend based on a 48 hour whim. Also unfair disproportionate taxation.
