What do you think is best for me?

I think your expecting to much from an ebike, it's not a motorbike its a bike with a small motor and battery pack which assists the rider by taking the Sting out of hills and headwinds, I've got arthritis in my hip and it was painful when peddling my bike but with the conversion I able to go out...

    Battery charging

Just a wee question regarding battery charging, am just trying to work out how much battery I used today, started off with a fully charged battery, done 22 miles and arrived back home with 2 bars left on the display (i think it was due to go to 1 within the next mile or so) so put the charger on...

What do you think is best for me?

Yes, front conversion even more straightforward although some folk say it puts quite a lot of strain on the front forks especially suspension forks (i agree with this but am new to the ebike world) am sure someone with more experience will be along soon to clear things up.

What do you think is best for me?

Looks fine for a rear hub conversion, you know the bike inside out so if you get a kit (£400/500) you should be sorted, only thing am not a fan of is front suspension forks on a bike that spends most of it's time on the road/canal paths.

What do you think is best for me?

You obviously know a thing or two about bikes and if your cycling 2.5k miles a year I don't think you'll be doing it on a £75 supermarket bike so why don't you convert your current bike or buy a suitable bike (either s/hand or new) and fit a kit to it?

    eBike Day 2

Well done gus,av also started my electric bike experience a bit late in the year using my converted bike for commuting to work 3 or 4 days a week but I think the commuting will be stopping soon cause it's starting to get pretty cold in the mornings now(am in Glasgow and there was frost on the...

    The new best headlight

Well I disagree, for the not so fast among us it's perfect, so perfect that av just ordered another one, I ride along the canal at 6.30am and it's pitch black, this wee light lights up the path very well and on the way home at 5.30pm I use the strobe function just as a wee eye-catcher.

Only negative thing I've read about the gtech is the lack of gears, that won't matter if your trip to work is mainly flat but could be a problem if you've got some hills to contend with.

Or if you have a bike already you could fit a kit to it for about £400.
