    Freego problems

Mike Set the voltmeter to DC 0-200V position, then measure the voltage between the two outer sockets at the base of the battery when the battery is switched on. Make sure you don't connect the two sockets together! With luck, fully charged it should measure around 40 - 42V.

    hi all

There's nothing like a test ride for finding out a lot quickly, without having to listen to sales speak. Find somewhere that you can try a bike on your own in some hills away from the sales pitch. If you let us know where you live we can try and help point you somewhere nice... Welcome to the...

    Freego Eagle question ?

Hi Mike At the front of the h-bar adjuster, underneath, is a bolt that you can tighten a wee bit. You need to face the bike from the front to see it easily. That increases the rotational resistance. If it is the stem height you want to change then open the quick release fully open and that...

Article: First Peak District Cycling Festival to be held in September

The Peak District is poorly served by train and the festival covers the whole of it. Good routes in are to Matlock, Chesterfield, Buxton or New Mills, depending on which local event you plan to attend. There are several stations between Sheffield and New Mills Central and numerous bus...

    Engineering for fumble fingers?

Hi Tom We have kits for you to come and see at New Mills and a tilting framed trike bought in especially for a customer who couldn't ride a conventional bike nor, as it turned out, could cope safely with the A6. Welcome to come and have a look. We're off to Bristol after closing New Mills on...

    Poor BT Service

BT have a standard compensation rate, which I remember taking advantage of when we had a similar situation several years ago. You will need to formally claim but it's well worth it - our claim amounted to over £400 for late connection of around 2 months.

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

To be fair, any new "thing" stands a chance of having an issue, especially with a human made product, such as a bicycle. The important point here is that this is a bike, (from a BEBA member manufacturer) supplied by a local dealer, who was able to fix it in good time. Beware bikes that come...

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

Good idea to check that a level of assistance has been selected at the handlebars. But having established that, and the throttle is working, then a new pedal sensor is the most likely required. Less likely a new controller, assuming no obvious sign of loose or broken cable / connector. Take it...

    Would you believe it? NEWBIE

Check that the sensor disk is fairly near the pedal sensor (black disk on the pedal shaft). The disk can slide along the shaft and should be close to the sensor (small and black, attached to a metal bracket around the BB on the chain wheel side). Switch the bike off and slide the disk closer...

Juicy bike Rural or Volt Metro (folding)

Actually the Battersea dealer has no stock and your nearest may well be Leicester. Not ideal, but we are hoping to secure a new dealer based much nearer to your new home, and another in SE London. We are careful who we supply and are building our dealer network slowly, to preserve our...

12v charger use with motorhome leisure batteries - Newbie query 3

There are two issues, amount of charge and rate of charge. Really the amount of energy is small, but needed at a greater rate than your solar will provide - but you have loads of capacity waiting to be drained in those leisure batteries. Check the current (amps) required by your charger - it...
