    27.5 bad for road use?

Everything has been in short supply over the last few years. Ps5 situation has been ridiculous. I’m waiting for the pro now. There is good discount on many new bikes atm. It’s easy to get tempted but they’re still so expensive for what they are. Im going to go into Evans to have a look at...

    27.5 bad for road use?

That takes the ****. He wants £1000 more for the Haibike i posted. Seems like the bike industry has been a gravy train for last few years. Demand has been so high sellers haven’t had to worry about price or customer service. Once the biggest sellers start reducing prices small independent...

    27.5 bad for road use?

They should not be legally allowed to deny people parts who bought second hand bikes. I was shocked to see Whyte bikes only give their guarantee to the original owner. I would argue that makes their bikes worth much less than a specialized bike. I wouldn’t buy one new or used. If you buy new...

This is my big issue with the bosch. it‘s a deal breaker. Same attitude as with electric cars. Still think they own it after they have sold it.

    27.5 bad for road use?

Im 5’10” about 75kg. If I had a bike already I would convert it. Seems easier to buy a ebike. Although nowhere near as easy as I thought.

    27.5 bad for road use?

It seems like the gen 4 Bosch is a bit of a nightmare unrestricted. I thought limp mode wasn’t something a bike would have. It’s bad enough in a car. At least then its to protect the engine. https://ebiketuner.com/blogs/news/how-to-derestrict-a-bosch-gen-4-ebike-in-2023 No doubt it’s the best...

    27.5 bad for road use?

If Specialized didn’t use brose this would be a easy decision. I need to read up on which Bosch bikes are easy to derestrict. I’ve read about newer Whyte bikes being deristicted, but need to double check. I’ve seen a E 160 RS that I like the look of.

    27.5 bad for road use?

Not at all. My only concern with new Bosch is that they are difficult to derestrict. Other than that they seem to be the best from what I’ve read. Brose would not be my first choice motor, but specialized have a great warranty. I also like their TCU. Its nowhere near as easy choosing a bike as...

    27.5 bad for road use?

I would not be servicing one of these motors myself. Thought I might have a go but not after watching that.

    27.5 bad for road use?

Seen a few Whyte bikes I like but with no transferable warranty, the prices are high. Buying new makes more sense. Maybe that’s their plan? Ive read that even though Whyte have bosch motors they are easy to derestrict? Something about not having a magnet on the back wheel?

Were broke too. No Eastern Europeans shouldn’t have the same disposable income as Western Europeans. Their economies aren’t comparable. They should be grateful to the eu communists for using western wealth to build infrastructure that has stole jobs. Cadburys being the big U.K. example. Tbh...

    27.5 bad for road use?

Didn’t vote brexit. It’s cost me a fortune. Ridiculous it was put to a referendum in the first place. You don’t have to be a ”brexiteer” to see the eu for the sham it is. The debt of EU countries in horrific. Broke countries bailing out broke countries cannot last forever. Took me a while to...

    27.5 bad for road use?

The EU is a broke, failed communist experiment. Look at what the other countries owe us, Germany and France. It’s Trillions they can never repay. Add their stance on Russia/Ukraine and carbon emissions. The west is done. BRICS are the only sensible adult left in the room.

    27.5 bad for road use?

I’ve ordered car parts from Japan with quick shipping and no issues. EU has descended into a broke bunch of bickering countries that owe each other trillions. It’s a unfixable mess. Us and the USA are no better. BRICS will be running things within 10 years. End of the petrodollar is almost here.

    27.5 bad for road use?

Id rather not order anything from the eu at the moment. I’ll start looking at bikes further away. Might be willing to deliver with the market being slower than it has been in years.

    27.5 bad for road use?

I’ll make sure I ask for a batt health report on any bike I buy. Battery prices are going one way and it isn’t down. I wasn’t aware about shipping issues with batteries before a week ago. Everything on eBay I really like so far is miles away or the wrong size.

    27.5 bad for road use?

I was just looking at similar bikes within 40 miles of where I live. A bit worried about buying one with a dud battery.

    27.5 bad for road use?

I’ve just noticed that the carbon haibike has the older Yamaha motor, but they have sold out of my size now. Wasn’t keen on the orange anyway and want to avoid carbon. ive heard about dongles working for a while on newer Bosch motors then having issues after a month or so.

    27.5 bad for road use?

That’s a nice bike. I read a thread on the other forum about how in demand they are and how quickly they sell if they pop up on ebay used. Im going to go with something similar to yours. Cba spending £1000 on a Chinese motor that could cause me hassle with the police. Or waiting 2 months for a...

    27.5 bad for road use?

When I started looking carbon was something I wanted to avoid because I was looking at used bikes and was wary of hidden damage. The Dengfu frames seem to have a good reputation. I imagined Chinese carbon would be awful. I remember reading about Chinese carbon frames snapping years ago. The...
