Ebikes and the Unfit Very Heavy Rider - A Cautionary Tale for Newcomers

This is really weird. Just reading through the thread and I see Plantar Fasciitis being mentioned, I too have been suffering with that for a few months now. Maybe it's something peculiar unto ebike riders, you can read about it here...

    Help! Am I missing something?

Bit of an odd design, note how the heat sink top left had to be bent to allow for clearance of the transformer which meant that diode or whatever had to be bent in turn. I'd be inclined to stick a 1k - 10k Pot across the resistor situated under the two electrolytics on the right and adjust.

    a question about insurance

Then you have the problem of Public Liability when you whack into someone and they try and screw half a million out of you. If you're that concerned about insurance you might as well go all the way and get covered for everything, mine does the lot all for less than £2 a week.

    Seago replacement chain(120link) and parts.

Coincidently I too changed the chain on my own Seago City Lite folder recently and was faced with the same problem. I wanted to go up market and get a KMC X9sl Chain, Ti-N Gold with 114 Links, so 6 links shorter and made for a 9 sp gear block. Amazingly I found it works great, it shouldn't but...

Spreading rear stays for hub motor

It keeps getting mentioned because it's not a myth vfr. As I keep trying to hammer home bending a frame isn't an issue as you're not stressing the metal it's malleable, the weld isn't and that's where a stress fracture or break could occur. The frame itself, no problem yanking that out of shape...

    Interesting Electric bike (not legal)

That bike looks very much like mine although it has much wider tyres. Being a folder fanatic I like that style of machine. Here's the factory where they turn them out..

    Help! Insurance against theft

You must check first though, my insurance doesn't cover anything away from home I checked. They probably all will if you tell them what you want but of course your premium will go up to cover it, nothings for nothing in this world.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Covid's non-existent down here on the coast, at least that's how it seems. Streets busy again with cars everywhere kids on their bikes and not a mask in sight, like the war people have just kept calm and carried on ignoring all advice and just bundled through it all. I think many just tired of...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Speaking of Trump, Kraken etc there was a report on CNN late last night about what was really going on in relation to the US election & the voting system. Apparently there was a meeting in the Oval Office where a group of around 5 or 6 individuals headed by Sidney Powell, this bunch was...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You probably could keep a culture going for years although I can't think why anyone would want to, Yeast is produced under laboratory conditions to prevent contamination so not easy to do at home. The best method of storage is freezing then it lasts for ages, I used to get fresh Yeast from...

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Don't forget it will mutate (serious) that's why you have to start again with a new batch after a few weeks. Been baking bread for over 50 years myself, now own a professional machine that does it all for me. Cost a fortune but perfection every time, all done and baked in 5-6 hours.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

When I was called up at one time I had a dodgy back so I sent them a letter explaining it would give me gyp to sit for ages in one position, that was genuine I really didn't fancy staying still for any amount of time. The courts didn't ask for proof of my condition although I could have got a...
