    New Forum Presentation

While it appears mainly cosmetic, there are some important changes at the back-end that for me make the site as a whole a lot easier to update. The old site front-end which you can still access and cringe over (until I switch it off!) was a pig to update. I can publish news and articles to my...

    Review website

Hi Jon, We have a reviews system for the new site that will structure the existing reviews a lot more. It is configurable in that as per your original suggestion a specific set of questions can be asked. I should have it working on the test site in the next few days if you want to take a look.

    Love the new look site

Hi Alan, For this version we have adopted a fixed-width layout mainly as it was easier to develop. But as you've noticed on widescreen displays there is a lot of white space either side. The site isn't actually any smaller than most other sites as the width is set at the currently 'industry'...

    Love the new look site

Thanks, we're getting there! It should take a few days to install a few more features and tidy up bugs etc. Then we've got a mass of content to upload so we'll be busy for a while yet.

    New Forum Presentation

Hi John, What web browser are you using ? I found with Chrome I only get the option to link to an image when I create an article, but in Firefox I also get the option to upload. I'll look into this as I think it is something to do with vBulletin.

    Trouble getting onto site

Hi folks, This has been fixed now. Basically we've introduced a slideshow on the front page and it was pointing to the test site which is password protected, hence why you were being asked for a username/password. It should be ok now.

Yes, the admin control panel is very much the same. The template and code behind the system is completely different though and has caused quite stir since its release. We wanted to upgrade in early 2010 but it just wasn't stable enough hence the long delay.

    New Forum Presentation

Thanks Jerry! It's quite hair-raising as you're never certain an upgrade which you've tested several times will work in a live environment. Not only that, the chap who developed the new layout is in Australia so he had to stay up most of the night to assist.

It's basically trying to load up some software from the test site which is password protected. I'll fix it shortly.

Yes, there will be a few strange things happening no doubt! That box on the main screen will be a slideshow showing featured articles, news, promotions, dealers etc.. I'll load an example up shortly.

It doesn't, no. But we may get a full-screen version developed if members want both options. A simple alternative you can use now is holding down control and using the scroll wheel on your mouse to zoom in/out - works quite well!

Once we've finished with the upgrade, there will be iPhone/iPad and Android apps available from the App Store/Android Marketplace. They will both be free to download.

    Upgrading now Fri 15.00pm

Hi all, we are going to take the site down now to upgrade to the latest vBulletin. When the site is back up, not all features will be available straight away so please bear with us. Also the Pedelecs style may not appear at times and the site will default to the standard vBulletin template...
