RX/TX connection between A2B Kuo+ battery and controller

Original charger, and that works fine ...cannot say if the battery is totally original, but it has been prvioulsy taken apart, because the paper 'seals' show thay have been cut ...not been inside to take a look. Other than that (on throttle) the range seems pretty reasonable, although not yet...

RX/TX connection between A2B Kuo+ battery and controller

I always keep a look out for an original controller, but the bike came fitted with a typical generic Amazon special, coupled to an S866 LCD. As I said, throttle works fine, but PAS is ineffective although wheel speed increase (with throttle) as the PAS level i varied between 1-5.....so, it looks...

RX/TX connection between A2B Kuo+ battery and controller

I thought that it was too early (2011??) for a canbus system, and instead is UART protocol ....unless I'm totally wrong! Need to check this out!

RX/TX connection between A2B Kuo+ battery and controller

Still trying to sort out my A2B Kuo + folding ebike. All is good, throttle works fine, even when the 5-pin LCD is disconnected. Troubles with the PAS, and so I have now acquired KT controller/display to replace some generic lcd/controller combination which may not be performing too well...

    A2B Quo + controller

Back on the job again, post-holiday. Still no joy with both single hall and double hall sensors pas. I only just noticed that an unconnected sm connector (green/white/yellow TX/RX) from the battery output is currently unconnected to anything, and there is no available connector the the...

    A2B Quo + controller

Checked all that off the bike and mounted on the bench, with every combination of magnet disc/pas sensor alignment, direction etc (sensor still connected to the controller) ..The singleshall pas will be mounted on the left side ...see what happens!

    A2B Quo + controller

It was noted that the sm connector from the controller had the red and blue wires in opposite order to the same wires from the PAS. ...although the pas led was lit up when nothing was moving. I corrected the 'cross-wiring' but this had no effect on the operability ...and the led was no longer...

    A2B Quo + controller

Finally checked the brake cut-off sensors and they work perfectly. The same cannot be said for the PAS sensor, which is a double hall sensor ...I suspect non-original ...and after bench testing it through every sensor position, orientation, magnet plate position, orientation etc, it clearly does...

    A2B Quo + controller

Just acquired this A2B Quo + .....a folding ebike....., in good nick, reasonable battery and working well under 'throttle only' mode. PAS does not appear to work , and neither do both brake cut-off's. The controller is probably non-original, and is virtually identical to an Amazon 36V 350W...

    Ebike controller/battery connection

Yes...you are right ...output of the 3 main phase lines from the controller to the motor are bullet connectors. Still leaves smaller 5V signal wires from the BMS to the controller, and then out of the controller to the display, brake cut-off, lights , RPM sensor etc. maybe the sensor 5V lines...

    Ebike controller/battery connection

I don't need to change the controller ...but I do need to find a battery with the same out pin configurations as the existing controller ...thats the difficult bit!

    Ebike controller/battery connection

Thats true ..I'm guessing 36V, and as you say there are quite a few options of battery+controller for sale ...I'll have to see what signal wires currently exist, so that I know what they are supplied to, such as motor hall sensors, lights, display, brake cut-off etc. If I knew which battery fits...

    Ebike controller/battery connection

Good point ...I already contacted 'FunBikes', who appear to be the manufacturer/supplier of 'Enhance' bikes, but had no response yet ...their current range of ebikes does not include this one !

    Ebike controller/battery connection

...looks like there is a crack in the battery locking mechanism?

    Ebike controller/battery connection

I am trying to find out which battery (rack mounted) is designed to fit the input to this controller ....Thanks

    Tranzx 24V battery output voltages

Looks like the blue and white wires do occur on both 24V and 36V batteries, and are connected to the BMS at the same location. On my battery, as mentioned previously, there is a zero voltage showing when connecting a multimeter between the left 'black' negative conn, and either the blue or...

    Tranzx 24V battery output voltages

Thanks for that ..I have reviewed this several times, and it does not really address the output voltages (blue, white wires) ...looks like it may be a Tranzx secret ..or it may be a bms issue
