News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

I suspect other EU member state local laws may also be potentially in breech of the Fundamental Rights test. Maybe they should also challenge the validity of EU168/2013 Article 2 2(h).

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

EU 168/2013 was made under the Jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters ***I see: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?type=TA&language=EN&reference=P7-TA-2012-412 in them it states: – having regard to the Commission proposal to...

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

Perhaps the 168/2013 concern could be raised by the UK member state representative during the current objection period of the 4 delegated regulations - at least get it noted on record - so the Commission could be made aware and maybe revisit it.

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

The only test I could find was the Opinion of the European Economic and Social Committee who submitted it's findings to the Commission. Whilst acknowledging the added benefits of increased mobility given by the proposals, appears to have failed to identify the potential social limitations...

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

Yes, I am currently delving through the history of the making of EU 168/2013 to see what tests were made and who made them and found it here under "Texts Tabled" on this page: http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?type=REPORT&reference=A7-2011-0445&language=EN the debates on the day...

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

It is a shame they deleted a new exemption in Article2, Section2 of Commisioner's proposal when it was up for approval by the EP and EC stage - it would have solved the problem:( (ja) vehicles equipped with an electric motor, a maximum design speed of less than 25 km/h and an unladen mass of...

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

The question is, does the present UK EAPC law now hold any water in the eyes of the EU now that EU 168/2013 is in force here. We only need one set of regulations but they must be fair and just and accommodate all EU citizens equally.

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

Hi Helen, Firstly I don't think BAGB could be persuaded to support the cause of the inclusion of an independent power modulator (a throttle as defined in the proposed delegated regulations) into regulation EU168/2013 Article 2 exemption (2h) namely an EPAC. EPAC implies assistance for all...

News: ‘Twist and go’ type approval guidance emerges

Hi Helen, Thank you for trying to obtain the answers to these problems. I see in the document that the BAGB are persisting with redefining the powered cycle vehicle class of 168/2013 and is constantly changing it, even their hazy pixelated 1st newsletter definitions already seem to be out of...
