EBMA files an anti dumping complaint on chinese e-bikes.

Exactly what does this mean please? Did the EMBA shoot itself in the foot, or is it something else.

    Battery security - in-frame designs?

I am not too sure that a stolen battery is easy to sell on. A bike on the other hand is.

    Battery security - in-frame designs?

I prefer to remove the battery and take it with me. Just because the battery is locked to the bike does not prevent the thief taking the bike and attacking the lock somewhere else.

Genius Bar caught ripping customer off ON CAMERA by CBC News

What annoys me is that our so called politicians do not protect us from these malpractices. We see the antifa goons making fools of themselves attacking alleged far right groups, why don't they go for the real villains? Too many companies are allowed to lock people into expensive and unnecessary...

Not exactly user friendly. Seems like very poor design/thinking.

    D.I.Y.

The problem for our civil society is that the old saying, 'You must not take the law into your own hands.' is now a busted flush. Unless the government take urgent steps to re- staff the Police, vigilantism will surface

I think that the reality is that do not have anyone to handle the case. The result of staff cuts caused by, well, Could have been Labour who spent all the money, or Conservative who failed to set adequate taxes.

    Elysium Bikes

It is an illegal machine. It has been clarified that an 'Off road switch' makes the bike illegal. The switch can be the ordinary electro-mechanical device commonly called a switch, or in the case of this bike, a part of the electronic control circuit. Nevertheless, it is a switch.

    Elysium Bikes

More to the point, do you have anywhere (i.e. with the permission of the owner of some private land) that you could ride such a bike? The web site talks about 'off road use' but does not attempt to clarify what they think 'off road' means.

warning signs apearing on lamposts s59

By and large I agree with this action. I live by a common and motor cycles tear it up, frighten the wild life etc. Common land is simply land held in common by a number of owners and this vague phrase 'off road' is bandied about and people think that the common is some sort of open park owned by...

Worse still, because they are an animal, if they damage your car the rider is not liable.

Woman fighting for life after 'e-bike' hit-and-run in east London

To my mind this tragedy is related to SMIDSY and THINK BIKE. For some unknown reason people simply do not 'see' two wheeled vehicles. Nothing to do with speed etc.

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

I would not be at all surprised to see all motor vehicles fitted with 70mph limiters in the future. What is almost certain to come is automatic limiting via speed limit signs emitting some sort of radio command.

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

Late summer, silly season, usual suspects, Speed limits, soon it will be helmets, then back to idiotic pedestrians and dog walkers.

New Legal Speed Limit: What should it be?

This is just a small little forum and our thoughts about speed limits are ours alone. Nobody else cares. All they ask is that ebikes not be dangerous to them. The likelihood of the EU agreeing to a higher limit is zero. Even after Brexit the UK parliament will be closely following the EU and...

    Copyrights

I think that the problem is that the net is so huge, once a photo gets onto it, there is little chance of control. Some years ago I found that a picture I had taken was on the brochure for the London boat show. I had published it on the net and lost control over it. Equally so, for photo...
