    Brexit, for once some facts.

Apparently it just requires some good housekeeping. Apparently 65 million UK citizens enjoyed a £30,000 overspending windfall. I appear to have missed out on this. Still I shouldn't worry how we are going to repay this as it has nothing to do with the outcome of the referendum. p.s. how are...

In that case the leavers will hold up the carpet while the remainers sweep it under it.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

And how long would that take to convince every Eu citizen to part with £3200 to eliminate our debt without being free to trade outside of Europe?

    Brexit, for once some facts.

Still waiting for an answer on how we will be able to extract 1.6 trillion pounds out of the trade with the EU to eradicate our debt.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The reality is this country is 1.6 trillion pounds in debt. We have the opportunity to downsize UK plc and consolidate our liabilities to the EU and for this reason I will be voting again to leave this community that has no chance of bringing Europe together because of long held differences...

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

Fortunately for the disadvantaged the DfT takes a less pedantic view on the definition of an EAPC.

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

All I see is the DfT taking measures to honour their position rather than comply with what I feel is a dishonourable EU position. If they go down the type approval route it still leaves the sigma of the disadvantaged and elderly being considered different to able bodied citizens. Surely the...

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

The efforts of the DfT are commendable they just have to make the final step to allow the various suggestions aired regarding manufactured pedal cycles and they would have fully justified their impact assessment statement of having complied with Human rights. That would only leave exemption...

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

What is a normal pedal cycle? I believe it is a cycle capable of being ridden by human pedal power alone. I personally would welcome input from the MCIA on this open and transparent discussion. I would like to hear what possible objections they might have.

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

flecc, applying your logic: If the manufacturers removed the battery and the name plate from their imported EAPC they could sell it as a pedal cycle as it does not have any means of assist. The consumer can then buy or have fitted a conversion kit to bring it inline with what the DfT has...

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

Because the law requires a manufacturer's name on the plate - after modification the original name would not reflect the true identity of the manufacturer thus would need to be changed.

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

It would be better if the DfT decides and finally clears up the impossible position, while it still can, before the EU takes the next step which would be for the EU to remove the member states power to impose type approval so that they can attempt to achieve their future ambition of one global...

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

If they allowed it on the grounds of fulfilling their requirement to Fundamental Rights, the challenge would have to come from the EU Commission. The Commission would have to take it to the EU Court of Justice for a ruling.

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

If I was a manufacturer I would get my supplier to make EN I5194 approved EPAC's without a throttle and plate them accordingly, as the UK law would then consider them as bicycles within Great Britain. After selling them I would offer the customer the options of a throttle/ replacement homebuild...

News - DfT: Pedal cycles converted to ‘twist and go’ exempt from type approval

Confirmed by Claire Perry to to the Parliament Committee prior to the vote on the 2015 amendments: "There is one more point to respond to. The twist and go classifications will be permitted up to 15.5 mph. A vehicle under that limit will be designated as an EAPC, because it is considered to be...
