I see you have two Sparticle Bromptons...... have you considered doing an in-depth review? I’m interested in how smooth it runs etc as I returned my Brompton Electric as it kept surging and switching on and off going up hills!.... So I’m considering a conversion.

Hey.... I’m sure you won’t upset anyone with your posting... in fact the more choices and reviews about folding electric bikes the better.

I hope they will have resolved the problems by then. If not I may well go for the Tern Vektron but they are even more money than the Brompton!

I have checked out conversions and the one I liked best was from ARCC. However at approx £1800 I have decided to try an Electric Brompton in the spring as I do have a buyer for my Apple Green H6R Brompton. Good luck with the trike.

If your bike has a Bosch motor, you can buy a neoprene motor cover which keeps water, grit etc out of the important bits. I have seen bike covers on motor homes but never on a car. You could look on a motor home website to see what’s available..... however you could always buy a Karcher OC3...

I collected the bike yesterday and was told they had basically changed the motor, controller and torque/cadence sensors in the crank. So I was ready to wrap up warm and test it today but it’s snowing! It looks beautiful but not ideal for my intended road test!!

This is the one I bought and it’s superb quality. IMHO it’s silly cheap for the quality and stability. The jaws are wide enough to grip the “crossbar” of my Brompton with ease.
