Raleigh Array E-Motion Crossbar 700c 2018 Electric Hybrid Bike

Looks like an independent company with their own cycle scheme. They have a good range but means you can't choose your own shop which can limit you somewhat. Some cycle schemes allow you to buy a bike above the £1000 mark and add your own money to top it up. Cyclesolutions does look like it...

Raleigh Array E-Motion Crossbar 700c 2018 Electric Hybrid Bike

For a 3 mile commute even with a few minor hills that should be fine. d8veh is right in saying rear motor is better though. Which cycle scheme does your employer use? I may be able to help you out either with that bike or an alternative one depending on the cycle scheme.

    Hello.

Good work! I love home build projects like this. You could be onto something with a micro generator.

    What is this called

Looks like a variation of a 2 pin molex connector. Instead of trying to find the exact one to match I'd probably either do what Nealh said above or cut it off and fit my own plugs.

    Bultaco Brinco

Motor power greater than 250w and assisted top speed greater than 15.5mph. To me it sounds like it still won't be legal for UK roads without licence plate etc. Unless this kit also provides a way of restricting it? I'd love to have a go on one though.

    I see your cheating then!

"Cheating? To what rules?" Or something along those lines is often my response. Followed by "It's fun!" then a conversation about how it takes all the good bits of cycling and gets rid of the bad. Seems to get people talking and interested. Thinking about it I've had the same conversation...

Need for 8mi one way commute want style and ease

Both have hydraulic brakes now so the only differences are gears, lights, battery, seat and handle bars. The Motus is a very popular bike! But I'm digressing from the original topic now :D

Electric mountain bike for a grand?

Shocking compared to bikes 2-3 times the price, maybe. There aren't that many crank motor eMTB's in that price range.

Need for 8mi one way commute want style and ease

A very good bike but no fitted lights and a little over the stated budget with RRP of £1750. Full spec here https://powerbikes.uk/shop/e-bikes/style/step-through/raleigh-captus-low-step-black/ If you want it with lights, bigger battery and suspension seat post the Motus version is £2k If...

folder ebike with "large" frame feel vs hybrid conversion

P&D cycles are the closest Byocycles stockist to you. Best call to see if they have one in if you are wanting to test ride. I currently don't have any in myself so can't take any extra pics unfortunately. P&D Cycles 35 Aylesbury Street, Bletchley Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire MK2 2BQ United...

Electric mountain bike for a grand?

There are a fewf decent hard tail eMTB's available with a rear motor for around £1-1.5k. If you are wanting mid drive with decent spec you will need to push the budget a little bit more. The Raleigh Strada TS is a good eMTB for those not wanting to spend a huge amount...

folder ebike with "large" frame feel vs hybrid conversion

I'd probably be more inclined to use a larger bike and leave at the station but I can see having a folder would make things easier the other end. Best I can suggest as a large folding bike would be the Byocycles Clameleon FDXL 17" frame, 24" wheels and suitable for anyone up to 6'4"...

    Smaller bike with good range

Hi Louiem, With a budget of roughly £1000 I'd probably recommend something from the Roodog range. https://powerbikes.uk/product-category/e-bikes/manufacturer/roodog/ The Roodog Avatar and Polka Dot both have battery upgrade options if you are worried about range. Let me know what you think...

    Enjoying cycling at last

I've had customers have trouble with similar types of lock in the past. Without seeing it it's hard to diagnose properly but it does sound like everything is moving properly at least. First thing to try is operating it in a certain order... Turn key and hold, Press slider and hold, Release key...

Hi Ian! Good to hear you're enjoying your electric bike. I really could never go back to a standard bike now. Brilliant bike the Revolver. Especially for the price of them too! Richard
