Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

Agreed, my Dad (who is doing the research on this with my help) is impressed with the 15ah battery but has a few more questions (see above). Still, i do think it is a good deal. Thanks for your input.

Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

Hello Woosh. I have spoken to my parents about the bike and they are interested but we have a few questions that I hope you don't mind me asking? I notice that the Sundowner specifically mentions that it is for riders 5ft10 or more on the website but as my Mum is only 5ft 4-5 am i right in...

Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

great tip, that is a very good point. I think my Mum is leaning toward the Woosh but will have to wait and see. Woosh, if we were to go with that how best to proceed, call you?

    Yosepower hub kits.

Hey Nealh, thanks for your perspective on it and for providing a workable and cheap solution with regards to using the already provided sensored plunger. I will see if i can take a look and understand how that woudl work. Thanks again.

Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

Thanks very much for these suggestions. I saw the cheaper of the two but i worry the battery has not been stored very well and thus how much life she'll get out of it. The Raleigh on the other hand is amazing value as it stands but i wonder how much more it'll go for. If it goes for just over...

Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

Hello Thanks for your reply. That bike does look interesting and would probably suit my mum as she is only about 50kgs I would say. I will get her to take a look and get back to you. Thanks for your time. I do agree about the gears but there are some pretty gnarly hills around where she...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Thanks so much that is really helpful. I will know now not to shy away from hydro brake bikes. I have a local one on ebay that I am tracking and would suit very well but didn't know whether the hydro brakes were going to be an issue, I am glad they will not be.

Bike for Mum, must be step through and have hub gears

Hello My mum would like to get an e-bike but isn't sure it'll stick so doesn't want to go down the super expensive route. I know there are loads of options available but my mum has narrowed it down as she wants hub gears (i.e. Nexus). I think she is very set on this idea and so cannot sway...

    Yosepower hub kits.

Hello, sorry to hijack the thread somewhat but I now have a Yose Power rear hub kit and battery but am now sourcing a potential donor bike. One thing that I would like is hydraulic disc breaks but I notice that the kit has normal pull brakes. Does anyone know a workaround so that they can use...

I want to buy my first eBike but I am overwhelmed by so many choices. I don't know where to pay attention.

My partner has a woosh gallego and whilst it won't suit taller riders it's a decent little bike and comes within budget. It flattens hills and gives you good pull away from lights but it's obviously not the fastest machine given the small wheels.

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

Thanks for the info that's interesting. I actually went for a dnp 7 speed as it had the 11t small ring and with only a 44t up front a 13t would have topped out at 21mph rather than the 25-6 it will with the 11t. I will let you know if it's a decent quality item but thanks for the benefit of...

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

That's the one then. I'll have to see how the shifters and derailleur work on that but I think the latter will be fine and the former a cheap fix.

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

Or get the 11t 7 speed and perhaps stretch the frame and get new shifters. I'm erring towards that option.

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

Thanks that's really helpful. So the choice is get the 9 speed with 11t and stretch the frame or get a shimano 7 speed and put up with only 13t. It's not ideal either way.

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

Thanks very much for this. I'm wondering whether this hub motor is was such a good idea now as it seems I'm going to need to a new freewheel, chain and shifter too and by the looks of it I'd be losing teeth at the top end in order to accommodate a more standard size. Starting to wish I'd gone...

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

I see the DNP freewheels are 36mm wide in 7 speed and 40mm wide in 8 or 9 speed. I'm not sure which would be better for the yose hub do you or anyone else know? Does it really make a difference? Got a 9 speed shifter so feel like a 9 makes most sense but I actually don't care about more gears...

Thanks, that is very clear. Thanks so much.

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

That was very helpful indeed. Assuming my frame is symmetrical (not at home at the moment) and given that I have rim brakes it sounds like the washer method would work well for me. Silly question but how do i know where the offset is so to speak, do I just sit it in the frame and see if it is...

Yose Power Rear 48v freewheel question

So after much deliberation and great advice from people on here I bit the bullet and went and got the Yose Power 48v rear hub kit. I am looking forward to it arriving but whilst I do I am turning my attention to the Freewheel i will need to purchase as my donor bike has a cassette. My donor...
