    Which mid-drive would be best?

Hello Woosh, I will see what she says but I won't hold my breath ;) Do you have any stats for that motor i.e. torque & top speed? Sorry what is the cost of that? 36v only so I am weary as I was told 48v was heaps better back when I bought in 2019!

    Great UK BBS02 supplier.

Thanks for letting us know about this. Can I just ask if you know that they are genuine Bafang?

    Which mid-drive would be best?

Yes I am starting to think that a hub motor is the way to go as that is what I have and I don't want her to ride off into the sunset :) We have a donor bike. It is a 27.5 unfortunately but with slicks I think it would take 700c wheels and open up more kits. Given that she is just 5ft3 though it...

    Which mid-drive would be best?

Thanks buddy appreciate it. What you say does seem to chime with what i have read on my research around the internet. The TSDZ2 is probably out as I believe it matches your input and so if the OH doesn't want to cycle all that much that is going to be useless. I will take a look for BBS01s in...

    Which mid-drive would be best?

Ok ok so I'll admit that the answer to this is most likely 'it depends' but humour me ;) I am considering a mid mounted motor for my partner (as well as hub motors - see my other threads - sorry) and just wanted to know which of the options i.e. BBS01, BBS02, TSDZ2 or something else I am...

Rear hub and rear rack mounted battery, too much in the tail?

Thanks for this. I will make sure the fit of the rack is very snug. Don't need a big battery so that might help in some respects. I have not heard of the speed controlled vs current controlled but will look into it.

Rear hub and rear rack mounted battery, too much in the tail?

Thanks to all of you for your input. It looks like it will be less stable but not horrendously so. I will go back to the boss er I mean partner and see what she says. If it were down to me I would be tempted by a mid drive BBS02 with the rear rack battery BUT can appreciate that this is more of...

Rear hub and rear rack mounted battery, too much in the tail?

Hello I am in the process of buying stuff for my partner's conversion of her Cube Mountain bike. She is dead set on a rack mounted battery rather than a downtube so my question is will that be too much on the rear of the bike and will it just wheelie all the time? I am only going to use either...

    TopBikeKit ordering problem

Interested in ordering from them so would love to know what the outcome of this was? Is there any harm in giving them your PAYE ref number?

48V rear rack mounted battery for YosePower 48V rear hub

This is awesome, why didn't I think of this! Such an elegant solution and with the bag over the top you keep it stealth and have places to store bits of kit. I might well steal this idea!

48V rear rack mounted battery for YosePower 48V rear hub

Ah that is interesting. I got that impression too, seems they only want to sell 36v just so that they can sell for similar prices! I think my motor has been really reliable and good so wanted to buy another but it seems that maybe they've just gone too far towards the affordable scale. I will...

48V rear rack mounted battery for YosePower 48V rear hub

Hello again Wheelie Pete. Thanks for pointing that out, I will take a look. Does the change in controllers mean that I cannot use my existing hub with their new batteries? Curious how they seem to be offering 36V as standard whereas before 48V seemed to be their mainstay!

48V rear rack mounted battery for YosePower 48V rear hub

Hello everyone It has been a while since I was on here back in 2019. On the excellent advice on here I ended up buying a Yose Power rear hub 350w 48v with a downtube battery. I ended up buying the 26" wheel version as that is what my donor bike was but unfortunately it has never really fitted...

Selling a fold-up E-bike but where do I get a box to post it in?

Wowsers that battery is surprising! Makes me think maybe it might be better just to do a collection only or just put it on Gumtree/FB mktplace.

Selling a fold-up E-bike but where do I get a box to post it in?

Oh the battery, I had totally forgotten about that! Thanks for the idea, that is a novel solution and one I would never have thought of.

Selling a fold-up E-bike but where do I get a box to post it in?

I have just finished getting my partner's Woosh Gallego back in shape and ready to sell when it dawned on me that a bike I can post will probably sell much better. As you are such an experienced bunch does anyone have any ideas of where to acquire a box big enough to send it in? If not, how much...

Thinking of selling my E-bike but worried about the process and what to ask?

Thanks everyone, that has been exceptionally useful. I actually already put it on ebay but pulled it a few hours later because of this and now am going to go back and make sure I have every last detail covered and every angle, scratch, paint chip etc. covered so that people know what they are...

Thinking of selling my E-bike but worried about the process and what to ask?

Hello, it's been a while since I posted but seen as I got great advice when I bought my kit I thought I would come back when the prospect of selling it has come up. Right so, I see that people are going crazy for electric bikes right now and seen as I have never been entirely happy with mine I...

Yose Power 48v 350W rear hub motor metalic sound causing alarm.

Just an update. I put the bike up on the stand and in doing so noticed it was pretty grubby and so gave it a nice clean, degrease and relube. Once this was done I ran the motor on max power and nothing out of the ordinary could be heard. I went around the wheel and checked all the spokes and...
