The capacity of my Reention Dorado L505 48v 13Ah battery is down to about 50% of what it was when new, after 4 years and almost 29000km. I've drawn a blank (or worse -"send it to us and we'll have a look at it for £85") with three or four potential re-builders I have tried. Any suggestions anyone?

In order to fit your Reention Dorado battery you will have to have a frame with a downtube that will accomodate it. If you find such a bike I have a connector that I can let you have similar to that shown in post #6.

£14 for a one off seems a lot to spend. I much prefer the OP's solution, which I have used in the past, though I would argue the bracket is unnecessary and I have used just a washer between the rivnut and the nut on the threaded bolt.

You can raise the power cut-off to ca. 35km/h and fit a throttle which will take you to the cut-off speed for under £10, of which £7 will be spent on the thumb throttle! Do try this before getting involved with an expensive new controller and the headaches associated with wiring. I have...
