Agreed: I did just over 6000 leisure miles summer and winter with v brakes and noticed the rear rim was getting worn. I figured it would easier and cheaper to replace the complete bike with one that had discs than rebuild the wheel, which is what I did. Swapping my preferred components over.

I`m sure not so long ago on this forum someone had the same concern and affixed a strip of "metal" down underneath the battery fixings on the down tube and then bent it up the seat tube to another riv nut fixing thus ensuring no rocking of the battery on the down tube.

I live on the outskirts of a town and have only recently notice these delivery guys. No mistaking them with their big hubs lack of pedaling and a box on their backs surely an easy target for the police. I know these guys need to earn a living but to behave in a manner that gets you noticed...

That metal bracket may eventually break at the bend mine did. I shoved the mudguard in my jacket till I got home. Mines now fixed with a cable tie as saneagle shows previously in this thread and I`v also got stays as a belt and braces fix.

I had a rear wheel hub motor puncture a couple of weeks ago and still had a normal tube fitted. So wrapped the normal tube around the chain stays and fitted a Gaadi (I have two). Took the normal tube off when I got home.
