    Ikea Sladda e-conversion?

I used to have a VW Beetle, it would climb any snow covered road you just needed a well covered mate to stand on the rear bumper (Translation: fender :D). On snow you need weight over the driving wheels so the battery back there should be helping with traction. I had an off on my Honda Spacy...

    Pedals

I was dubious about my ergotecs but I have never (ever) slipped in the wet or with muddy shoes (Decathlon brand walking shoes most days). And I can ride in tongs, town shoes, waders o_O or even barefoot! The plastic diamond pattern doesn't look grippy but there is a lot of it. Drawback(s): 1...

    Haibike... Bosch or Yamaha?

If I had to choose it would be a Yamaha bike because it can take a twin chainring on the front and with the hills (mountains) around here that could come in useful. Even on the road the twin chainring on my GSM is very nice to have.

    Brexit, for once some facts.

You found SW's stash? What have you been smoking Dave? The recent warning and fine of UK customs was just the beginning! I can see EU customs going over every container shipped from the UK and sending ones they don't like back once it hits the fan. I think that will get boring (and very...

    Fully automatic system

I have been humming and ha-ing about what to do with my mxus. You guys have just convinced me to put it in a Dahon folder. Why Dahon? Because there is a Ford branded one going for cheap online, cheaper than Decathlon and better equipped!

    Brexit, for once some facts.

The problem is if you want money from the EU you have to ask for it. If your government hasn't been asking for enough that isn't the EU's fault. If private enterprise isn't aware of the research grants and whatever it isn't the EU's fault. The ex-chairwoman of the French business owners union...

Not been seeing benefits from the EU? This may provide an answer: "Funding is managed according to strict rules to ensure there is tight control over how funds are used and that the money is spent in a transparent, accountable manner. As a group, the 28 EU Commissioners have the ultimate...

Gearsensor for Bafang Mid Drives BBS-01, BBS02, BBS-HD

I have never had expensive gears and the lower end ones tend to need you to stop applying pressure even on an un-powered bike. So it has become a natural reflex and I have never (OK maybe once) had problems changing gears so I feel this is another gadget. Now if you are riding a 750 W BBS02 or a...

To convert or to buy new..

That looks like an ideal bike for a conversion. I would recommend either a bafang BBS kit or the GSM from Woosh. Get yourself a 104 BCD spider and keep the 44 and 32 tooth chainwheels. Reccomendations: Get a battery that is 15 Ah or more Get a hydraulic brake cutoff switch You can set the cut...

Woosh MTB conversion rear gears question

I have a 14-34 mega-range Shimano freewheel on a 26" mxus wheel, it requires a 48 or 50 tooth big chainwheel if you want some decent speed on the road (flat or downhill). In my view that isn't a problem, in fact a double chainwheel say 50-38, would get you over most terrain with a reasonably...
