    Need some advice

To the OP, I’d stick with the bbs02. Replace with an external controller - you can use this for a hub solution if you change your mind later upgrade your gears to a 9 speed XTR shifter, optislick cables. Set up with a tight derailler, your gear changes even under load will be smooth

    Help! Bbs01b problem

Your controller is shot I had a near identical experience. Throttle dies, and unless you disconnect it quickly it takes the controller with it. Don’t spring for another glass bbs controller, wire in a kt controller instead. They're bulletproof & a match in terms of power delivery.

    gear sensor led function?

Rumour has it that there are (hard to find & more expensive) igh specific gear sensors available that cut power at the ‘start of shift’, as opposed to ‘end of shift’ for derailleurs.

Need Julet connector to JST connector cable

You could make up a small inter connecting cable - I’ve never seen anything like that available off the shelf. Search ebike waterproof connectors on aliexpress to find the 2 prewired connectors. Probably your best bet would be to chop the controller connector off, and attach an (aliexpress...

That’s a great example of a combined approach: disc lock (back wheel) + alarm is potentially a good combination in an urban area

A ‘tile slim’ can be inserted into a hailong battery case. Of course it’s no guarantee of recovery, but the ability to provide the police with an address where stolen goods are present may lead to a positive outcome

BBSHD Clutch where to buy from

I’ve used dt Swiss onyx pawls in a bbs01 & bbs02, works great, can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t fit a bbshd - they can be bought in the uk. It’d be wise for you to order some replacement shaft seals (for when you remove the clutch), and also a complete clutch assembly, in case you’ve...

    First ebike conversion.

My 36v BBS02 500w performs great with a 60cell 35e celled HL battery. I run it at about 22A, and the 21Ah battery is good for about 26 miles OP may need to figure out a way of cramming 60 cells into that triangle if he wants that kind of range

    Replacement battery

It was hard to find - I ended up going with bmsbattery. 36v 21Ah hailong battery, along with a q128c motor was £400 inc uk delivery. No duty to pay. I wasn’t aware of the inferior long life cycle issues though. Time will tell, but right now the 35e trounces it’s 29e equivalent for me. I’m...
