coyotte folder ebike now £499 halfords

I have a 20" wheeled folder. I would have preferred a larger bike when buying it but it has to fit into my tiny campervan so there was no choice but I've had a non-leccy folder previously so was used to it. As for the leccy folder, I love it. I've zoomed around my home area, back and to...

coyotte folder ebike now £499 halfords

I met a couple in the Forest of Dean at the weekend who'd taken advantage of the offer and bought one each. I don't think they have the highest powered battery or greatest range, but the couple loved them, were full of enthusiasm and delighted they had managed to complete the cycle trail they...

    tough phone

I had one of these made by Samsung. It's not the trendiest but it works and is very robust... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-B2710-Solid-Immerse-Mobile/dp/B0042ORU08

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

How about using a cheap car dash cam with duct tape?! (Sorry - but I do have a reputation for improvising...)

    Test ride..

I certainly wouldn't pay £50 for a test ride. Stores I've visited generally offer the facility to cycle around a parking area or up/down a road with a credit card held as a deposit. Even Halfords allow potential purchasers to cycle around the store which seems to be a popular Saturday...

    Mozzi

I've just stumbled upon the Mozzi site and discovered their folding bike seems to be identical to mine, badged with a different brand. I've used mine almost daily for the last 6 months and been very pleased with it as a cheapie-folder. It's not everyone's cup of tea here, I know, but as a...

    suggestions for decent gloves

I have a pair of these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B017R5CMRO Sizing is on the small side but I've found them good in all weather and they dry quickly when wet.

do members use there ebikes much at this time of year not work related

I actually use mine far more in the winter. The sloppy, muddy lanes and relentless rain become tedious but I much prefer the cooler temperatures to the heat which always drains me. I really would welcome some crisp, fresh frosty days or even a little sun but right now I would happily settle...

A good foldable ebike to commute to work

If of any interest/relevance, I have a £598 Seago ePower folding bike with 20" wheels which I've been using for day rides/sightseeing and found it comfortable and practical. I haven't tried taking it on public transport (we don't have any here) but I have hauled it around the country folded...

How many people are using there e-bike off-road?

Here was my route of last week once the rain subsided - along to Symonds Yat with a plan to combine it with the Forest of Dean and Goodrich Castle. Alas, the rope ferry across the River Wye wasn't operating so there had to be a change of route.... [/IMG]

Brilliant. I look forward to reading more about Lucy, her adventures and her stable companions along with her forthcoming book which I will happily read and review :)

Which electric bike do you own?

Seago Epower folding bike(!) - great for its versatility.

What are the main reasons for why you cycle?

This seems to be quite an old thread but here goes.... I always had a bike as a child, teen and then young adult but work took over and I needed a car. After moving to a hilly area I quickly realised I didn't have the strength, stamina or fitness to tackle the hills and staggering wasn't fun...

    What lights do you use

My bike already has fitted lamps but I've also received quite a large selection of lamps to review from Amazon. My favourite front lamps have to be the CREE LEDs which can be removed and used as a hand torch. For the rear I have an assortment of cheap clip-on lamps plus a better one fitted to...

    Bike insurance revisited

I insured with Policy Expert - about £120 for buildings, contents and one bike valued at £600.

Case studies - how has your electric bike changed your life?

I don't have any tales of heroics, just my love of my little pedelec bike. After always cycling as a teenager and student, including the London-Brighton marathon while at Uni in Brighton, I simply got out of the habit once I learned to drive and had my own car. Then, on moving to the hilly Wye...

Hello from Herefordshire (& any comments re these 3 bikes?)

I think the warranty on the battery is 1 year, matching the frame (but warranties are only gestures of goodwill - I rely of Sale of Goods Act instead). I live at the top of a 2 mile hill and use the battery on medium power to get up it.

Hello from Herefordshire (& any comments re these 3 bikes?)

I've used it almost daily, including 8 miles today along our hilly lanes. I can honestly say I haven't regretted it for a second and would buy the same again. It's very adjustable in terms of saddle and handlebar height - more so than the alternatives I looked at and can accommodate my 34"...

    Bike insurance revisited

I've just added my bike to our home contents insurance for an additional premium of about £9 for all risks away from the home with £100 excess as a specified item. I doubt the above home insurance policy will provide any public liability insurance re the bike - this is normally related to...
