Omg so happy, ordered new fuse for charger. Charged battery this morning, attached to bike and it’s fully charged. All that angst for the sake off 99p. Thanks for everyone’s help and advice. Hoping someone will see this in the future and try changing the fuse before thinking worst and worrying...

Not used for about 2 years at least. No excuse other than pure laziness. I looked online at batteries last night and nearly fell off sofa, seem to be well over £300 for new and other options. Thanks very much

That sounds like a very good idea indeed. At the end of the day I want this bike to get used and I just want one for nipping about. I didn’t know it was something you could actually do so big thanks very much for your reply, I can source and approach a local company with your suggestion :)
