i met Mr Ching and his son in Eurobike in Germany on the 7th of september and he told me of the upcoming challenge ( because i dared to mention other e-bikes were more powerfull that his own ! specially a XU 700 canadian bike that - in my modest opinion - outperformed eZee models by its power...

freewheel mechanism in hub electric motor

the sales man informs me that the freewheel mechanism is 100% efficient because intead of being made of ballbearing clutch like on Bafang ( ? ) it's made of an overrunclutch that makes the driveshaft of the motor to be totally disengaged from the bicycle wheel's shaft if the motor is not ON or...

hardness coefficient and indentation of materials in friction inside geared motors

to confirm Flecc's saying about Hall sensor to be responsible for noisy phenomena, i was told that motor factories are controlling the quality of the Hall position sensor they use , and discard the bad ones that are to be held responsible for excess noise 2 photos fm the Bafang factory to...

hardness coefficient and indentation of materials in friction inside geared motors

from the basic hypothesis that a life span expectation of an e-bike hub motor is directly correlated with that of its orbital planetary gears ( especially when made of Nylon like the Bafang motors ) or bearings ( Tongxing motors ) i am interested in knowing if there is a way to measure such...

freewheel mechanism in hub electric motor

thanks Flecc for the accuracy of your description from the attached link but i believe the freewheel mechanism comes into action in that chinese hub motor in a different way than with the Bafang you described, so since i have not tried that motor and the photos are being sent to me by a...

tks Jeremy, but i'm afraid the new motor axle is in different dimensions than the typical hum motor axle ( in photo ) do you yourself own a Tongxin hub motor ( the new model without the 5 hall lead wires , a version probably appreared mid or end of 2007 ) because their new drawings does...

torque arm or special washer to avoid damages whatever is the limited amount of nominal power of that small hub motor , it's probably capable of withstanding instantaneous power of 500 to 700 watt for a few seconts ...( the controller enables 36v x 15 Amp H ) under such circumstances a...

    My Tongxin kit bike

axle dimensions of Tongxin and standard fork dropout slot spacing ?? hub motor axles are generally flatened down to 10mm on 2 opposite edges ( see attached photo ) , because standard dropout slots are also 10 mm wide , so that the hub motor axle can easily slide into place . unfornutanely...
