hi I got this kit as well. (from eBay, Austria), got the 36v nimh kit as well Unfortunately it was in backorder, so I don't have it yet. so we are in "the same boat" as they say. anyhow, I don't think you can bend your forks, structural stability will be lost. ;/ gede -denmark
