Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

A bluffers guide would be great, just knowing what should be connected to what would have kept my mind at ease a little more... Having said that it does all seem to be running.

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

The battery case is 2-3cm wider when looking at the bike from the side and so it doesn't fit in the slot for the battery on the bike... I'll put a little more on after I give it a test run as it is. For now I fired it back up last night and everything still seemed to be functioning so fingers...

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

I forgot to ask, 24v is 24v as far as chargers is concerned right? I still have my old charger which was for lifepo4 cells 10ah but there is no reason not to use it right? It'll mean I can leave one at work and one at home.

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

I've already done the mod but have been unable to test it, the solder runs about a third across but down one side only and not too thick, so it will just reduce the resistance by a smaller amount then? Its no in danger of heating up to the degree that the solder softens and causes damage...

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

Thanks NRG, I didn't even click that you were answering me! D8veh, I am sorry to hear you and your cyclamatic parted ways. I am beginning to think that these red and white wires are supposed to be loose, I also have the ones on your pic (still connected) and they are not the ones I am referring...

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

D8veh, Aw, unfortunately it seems mine is the 12a max controller... Does that effect whether you would/should do the shunt mod and up the voltage from the battery? I have no idea how the regulator works for I am no engineer, just a mere operator meaning that following instructions is no problem...

Cyclamatic: The Beastamatic is dead! Long live the Beastamatic

Sorry d8veh, long time reader first time asker, are you saying you have done the shunt AND swapped the battery for the 36v (with no further mods to help the bike accept a higher voltage battery? I'm interested more out of general curiosity as my cyclamatic's battery went about a week out of...
