    Free Gadget Show Tickets

Thanks for the tickets for Thursday Eddie, postmarked on Tues. 7th. first class. Unfortunately, Royal Mail have not been able to read my address and postcode, so the tickets were not delivered until today, (Saturday). I can clearly read my address on the envelope, but there is a message written...

Tool kit, Servicing and Maintenance question

One thing I would suggest for puncture repair kits is to do a dry test run at home first by simulating a repair. I bought a kit and was using it to change a tyre and tube on a Carrera that I am doing up for a possible conversion. The 2 plastic tyre levers supplied in the kit were absolutely...

My kit has arrived and oh my it looks confusing!

The light switches usually have to be pressed in and held in for a short time to switch on and off the lights, could that be the problem? I have just had another look at the pictures, and on one close up of the rack, (picture below), it shows a red and a black wire, then a yellow wire...

My kit has arrived and oh my it looks confusing!

That looks good, but I would make a small adjustment and have the cable exit pointing slightly downwards, with the cable looped back up to stop any water collecting in the connector.

My kit has arrived and oh my it looks confusing!

From what I have read this is quite a normal problem, with suggestions of shortening the cables to make everything neater, but that probably requires new connectors. As a temporary solution, could you just leave some of the spare cable outside of the box, and tape it up until you decide how to...

My kit has arrived and oh my it looks confusing!

Sorry, I can't help much as I am doing a bit of research myself regarding fitting a kit, and that video matched my bottom bracket. I have read on here from the excellent information supplied by d8veh that the sensor might need some adjustment if fitted to the left side,.possibly by reversing the...

My kit has arrived and oh my it looks confusing!

This video seems to show the fitting of the sensor, (PAS), clearer, but for a different type of bottom bracket?, plus it shows at the end what can go wrong if the chainwheel fouls it after fitting.

Herts - A new company I had not heard of

I didn't say they were crooks, just that they have some unusual feedback on eBay for the company they are promoting. I have had to use PayPal's guarantee 3 times in the past to get my money back, so I know that I am protected, I also know that it can be a protracted procedure, and one that I...

Too many alarm bells are ringing for me at the moment.

Herts - A new company I had not heard of

I am a relatively new member here as regards posting, and new to ebikes, and I was looking for a conversion kit earlier today. I found the following company advertising on eBay, and I was going to seek advice about the company on here before venturing further, but it seems like they have not...

    Another Possible Convert to Pedelecs

Hello Paul, thanks for the reply. I will not be using the bike for commuting, just for leisure, so not in a big rush to convert it. At present, (and with the help of YouTube), I am learning how to service, recognise, and replace different parts on the standard bike, so that will help a lot if I...

    Another Possible Convert to Pedelecs

Hello all at Pedelecs. I am starting to get back into biking hoping that a few volts can replace a few grunts and groans :) Just picked up a neglected Carrera Crossfire 1 which I intend to convert at a later date, after sorting out (hopefully) the gears with a little help from a friend, and...
