Sorry about that. Believe it or not Posting them could lead to criminal prosecution. Even tiny watch coin cells are banned. Saying that if they come from outside of the UK i.e China, they are still allowed ...... Wtf?

It is illegal to post them without a protective circuit board. There are courier companies that will carry them as cells but only up to 8 cells at a time for probably a lot of money. So I am afraid posting is not possible. If it was I would probably be charging more for them! (;

They are yours if you come and collect as they cannot be posted, though I am trying to sell 20 cells at a time. So £20 to collect with a choice of 4 other cells. PM me for my address. Andrew

Just a quick update i have about 64 Panasonic CGR 18650 D cells which are 2.35ah each with a 2C current peak which could make a 42v 14ah pack with 60 cells. Or a 54v 9 ah pack with 54 cells. I have been tearing down more cases today so still a lot to go through and charge and then test. Andrew

I totally understand what you have to say. As always the more ah's the better. I just use a small pack to get back and fore work no problems with peaks of 25 amps on steep hills and take off. Perhaps i should re- phrase the advert. How's about i post up some battery makes and codes and forum...

I am still looking into the capacities of the differing cells. They do differ, some are 2.5ah, others 2.2ah, some are 2.0. That is why i would prefer to sell them as 2ah cells.

They are 2C rated, yes they will sag if used at 30 amps, 25 amp peak they do easily in a pack of 54v 8ah. I am only going on what experiences i have had with them over the past few years. Of course 18650 cells sag but are still a good safe and reliable chemistry as proved over the years...

Well maybe not so stealthy in the cornish alps :) but maybe for early morning commutes he can get away with it. I once made an 84v battery pack to do 40mph. I rode it once and then went quickly back to 54v. Dangerous in my opinion.

Sounds good. The kit looks nice and neat too. Quite stealthy and well designed. Have you tried going on the american forum Endless Sphere to see what experiences people have had on there with mid drives or even the kit on ebay. There is a huge wealth of knowledge on there. Maybe worth visiting...

Ok, no probs. i know nothing about mid drives, i have built my own batteries, many hub kits,bikes and wheels, but no mid drive. Just be careful not to be pulled into the enticing Chinese marketing, they are the world masters! How does 120rpm mid drive equate to rpms on hub drives?
