Well, I have one, and it does ride very well indeed. More like a full sized bike really, completly different to a 16" Brompton. Much much better on pot hole infested roads. Its not as good in commuter bike mode, as in carrying on trains and busses, as the 16" Bromptons, but it still folds...

If there were a generic slide in style electrical battery\controller connector pair it should not be difficult to fit it to one of adapter plates that allow stuff to be connected to the Brompton bag block.

How does that bag deal with the electrical connections ?

I was not looking for alternatives. Finding small ratchets is easy enough, there are all over eBay and Ali and they are cheap. I already have a couple, including the one in the original Brompton toolkit. But I like the idea of the ratchet insert for a 15mm spanner and if they were available...

Brompton have recently released a puncture repair kit that can be used with their electric and non-electric 16" bikes. What interests me is the small insert you can put inside a 15mm ring spanner to turn it into a ratchet hex driver. Any ideas where you might buy that insert separately ?

From my observations, if the rider of an eBike is carrying one of those square food carriers on their back, there is a very low chance that the eBike is legal. You could train police officer to be aware of that issue in just a few seconds, no need for a 5-day course.

But are the policies worded like that in error, as in the Insurance companies dont understand the actual regulations, or is the wording deliberate in order to fool people and provide the insurance companies with a get out clause ............

Thanks. mmmm, for say £9000 cover, 3 bikes 2 of which are electric, they want £220 per year, with £5m liability cover. Not low cost. However they have this caveat, which suggests a potential problem; On the Go-Compare website there is a similar disclaimer for eBike insurance;

The tyres and tubes I have seen are stated as 406. The supplied rims are tubeless ready, if you want to convert to sticky stuff instead of tubes.
