30v imv is a bit too low to take a 36v battery , typically for better life I would look at 34v as a min voltage. Sag will be noticable as voltage decreases and esp inclines will not do the battery any favours at lower voltage. Flatter terrain and it is a different story.

E42 is motor Hall error but as said intimmittent does suggest a wire break issue or connection issue . It doesn't though rule out the wiring on the motor side. When the fault disappears, wiggle/ move the wiring in various places to see if and when it appears.

Problem is with any twist and go use is !!! The risk of plod confiscating said bike and a conviction for motoring offences. Tbh the only solution to be compliant is one with full twist and go that is lawfully legal and complies with the 250wLPM certification.
