    48V Battery

Capacity varies a lot. Typically 18650 is approx. 3450mah for a 3500mah rated cell, where as a 21700 cell is 4200mah - 5000mah . My small ali bottle battery with 24 LG hg2 's is 44v/6000mah and weighs in at 1.436kg. My 21700 moli with 24 P42's is 44v/8400mah weighs in at 2.209kg. Indeed it is...

    48V Battery

For me 18650 is still king for my small 44v bottle battery builds , one simply can't do it with 21700 format. Otherwise 21700 format is the one for general battery builds or the nice 18650 Sam 35e3 or Moli's. Molicell is the chosen cell selected by UK venture EVTL / Vertical aerospace for...

G51 controller ( Pedal Assist not working )

PAS 5 is insane on flat terrain, it really isn't needed . It jut eats up battery power so save it for the hills. Be careful with cable ties as they can pinch inner very thin wires and short them or break them. I use velcro strap on all my wiring.

    Battery Fires

One would say most are down to inappropriate/poor charging practices , using an incorrect charger voltage and also charge current to high and fast. Some batteries may almost immediately short and go hot others some time later when high current draw is used .

    Street legal?

Wisper bikes if you want a legal twist and go with a V5 for proof, or a pedal first option throttle with the display setting set to zero start up & pedal first.

G51 controller ( Pedal Assist not working )

Great well done , if it works leave the magnet disc as it is (it is orientated correctly). Good that the Julet wiring matched up , it can be a bit pot luck as some vendors change the controller sequence of wiring to make you buy their more expensive replacements. It's the same old story, the...

G51 controller ( Pedal Assist not working )

It was a suggestion as a type with the same connector type , not a defacto it will work at any cost. One expects it would be 100% compatible with a KT set up but might not be with your set up as the wiring sequence may be different. Before you do anything simply connect it up and test it...

G51 controller ( Pedal Assist not working )

Yes should light up , it pulses red every time a magnet is sensed/passed by the sensor.

    A question of magnets?

Typically one won't find a magnet disc other then 5, 8, 10 or 12 pole. RHS fitting then yes 00 - 03 are the usual values to select and for LHS 05 -07 . My Kt kicks in less then 1/4 rotationand is more like 1/8 th. One can have a throttle as long as it isn't a twist and go, if a pedal first...

G51 controller ( Pedal Assist not working )

Fot is a typo , try fit. Arrows faces C/W direction /direction of forward rotation. Arrows also align to outer face when fitted.

Help! Jorvick 24 trike / throttle

We will need to some clear pics of the controller wiring to see what you have got.

    Battery Woes

As the charger works ok with one battery and not so well with the other , then one can at least pindown the issue to the original battery. Issue now is , the original battery needs opening and checking for the charge fault. Areas to check; Charge port for burning /pitting. Both solder joints to...

G51 controller ( Pedal Assist not working )

The disc has to fot on the sq part of the axle and then it has to be as close as poss to the sensor head , typically about 0.5mm - 2mm.

    Me, myself and I.

It looks like a hidden fine thread face plate, one has to unscrew the face plate from the RHS using a special tool or one can easily make up a leverage tool to open the hub. We do though need to see a better clearer side pic (RHS) of the hub with the wheel removed.

    Me, myself and I.

Numbers and markings won't help much with any bearing issues. Typically if it is a bearing making a noise or failing then it is the LHS one , to isolate any noise then one has to remove the wheel and all it's fittings to leave but a bare hub in a rim. Then one may be able to feel any roughness...
