jb-weld is a universally available high temp high strength epoxy that should not break the bank. Sounds like they used a hot glue gun for the shop fix melting at less than 70c ?? or perhaps its intended as a test fix to confirm sensor positioning?? after all using a permanent glue if uncertain of sensor orientation could be a problem if wrong.

I use hot glue inside my motors. The trouble with high strength glue is it’s too permanent, so if a hall sensor needs changing in the future it’s a real pain and you risk damaging the insulation on the windings trying to get it off.
