This hub motor pulls well. It's a nice kit, and the bicycle looks decent too.
/Dan
Thanks Daniel! That is good news....I thought it looks pretty decent spec for the money.....

You talking about the woosh? Do not worry exactly the type of bike I have no interest in!lol
I do not mean a Woosh. I have another make, as you can see from my signature, but it happens to be rather similar, hence I feel qualified to venture a comment on the bike suggested by hatti. Whether you happen to be interested in it or not is irrelevant; other people read this thread who may have an interest in such a bike.

Thank you Roger!

So you don't wish for a Woosh, eddieo?

But for anyone interested:

Range of the Gale: 30-40 miles on flat roads with throttle control, more with pedal assist
(same as for our Sirocco).

Also comes with with Bafang 8-Fun motor, 36V 10AH LiPo battery from PICC and a Lishui 7A-14A controller.

Lishui controllers are programmed to protect the bike against power surge when you go over road bumps and have a very smooth power delivery, also good for hill climbing with throttle.

Thanks for spamming my thread, and no I would not want one even if you gave it away free, I made that clear early on in thread, but you know that.......... Also your range claims utter BS. 5 stone weakling or 18 stone fatty (like me) Headwind, or no headwind etc..etc...

eddieo,

the website did say suitable for riders up to 90kgs, I have no way of knowing if it's suitable for you.
By the way, which electric bike do you ride?

eddieo,

If you don't think much of any bike you don't ride,
that's Ok.

there is no need to insult other posters is there?

but you post spam repeatedly on thread without reading it ? and seem incapable of looking at a signature.....your contributions are of topic and just idle promotion

You obviously ignored my opening post on previous page "this is getting serious" where I explained I need to get a bike for wife in next few weeks before we go travelling. So please stop SPAMMING site and I wont need to get annoyed with you

Haha Eddie you're hilarious, sorry if this is stoking the fires of another off topic tangential ranting thread (of which you seem to be involved in most) but...

...you've done just this on many threads including mine; made judgemental comments without reading the content of the thread first and been entirely off topic.

I really find you highly entertaining, top job! :)

Oh, Hatti......"banging your head against a brick wall" comes to mind.....best not to waste your breath......some people were just born rude........better to just leave them to dig their own big black hole a bit deeper.........eventually they may fall in for good :D :D

So be more specific dont pick on someone for making a suggestion your not interested in. Just say no thanks and move on

So
Max price ?
Weight ?
Does it need to pack real small or just enough to fit in van ?
Already said want good gearing and needs to be useable by you as well as misses

Eg heres a interesting one ( not recommending just did a quick search)

Garry you have not been on here long but this constant off topic spamming ruins this site IMO, do you really think hatti interested in my needs.... But your right! lets move on

Thing with justebikes is they can have disappointing stock levels.....Have seen the bike before will give it another look so thanks! lovely looking, nice and light @17kg but only 5Ah battery. I will be better of with Alpino as resale value very strong and as it shares the same drive system as my kit bike, I know it will go very well

at the moment I am thinking of either the wisper alpino or 8 fun folder. Bike primarily for wife but I will use it as well. needs to be light, but 20kg without battery OK

going to get over to London show next Sunday and wife can try it there....Bought her last bike blind and it was a disaster she could not get on with it, but she likes our Dahon folder so either of these should be OK. Did not want to spend much as only a stop gap bike until I find what I'm really looking for, probably a folding crank drive

your perfectly right and very wise... just hate it when threads get manipulated

The sparta folder pops up under different trade names, has been around at least since last year and looks lovely...battery to small though. But like you say I don't know anyone who has one or seen a review of one.

Well it would appear that sparta is the biggest e bike seller in netherlands so has that going for it. Would agree 5ah battery my be a problem for the use you want for it ( im assuming you want to be able to tootle around from motor home all day ). But must admit if i ever start getting hassle on trains using a full size bike for my commute it would definitely be on my possible list.

It may well be a decent alternative to a Brompton (head down now awaiting incoming firelol) for commuting. but the Alpino shares same drive system as my other bike so better matched for range etc....when we are out together. I use e bikes daily its my main transport.

But chasing up something else now that I will reveal later:p
