This year’s show has more electric bikes than ever with over 100 from Asian and European manufacturers on display and many available to test on an extended Electric Bikes Demo Track.
2012’s Show also saw a large gathering of electric bike manufacturers, distributors and dealers, such that the organisers reported last year’s show as marking “the transition of electric bikes from a niche product to a significant sector within the wider UK cycling market, and one with considerable potential to grow further.” With a significant number of visitors attending last year’s show just to see the e-bikes, the Cycle Show noted that 59% of those testing the bikes were aged between 40 and 60.
