FreeGo Wisper have announced the launch of their latest model, the Raptor, which will be available from August.
The company say the simple, clean lines of the design means the lightweight e-bike is ideal for shorter journeys in cities and urban areas.
Weighing in at just 14kg with the battery, the Raptor makes life easier for those needing to carry the bike up to an apartment or into an office in addition.
FreeGo Wisper’s David Miall explains: “The Raptor has been designed to be very minimalist; it’s perfect for commuting and shorter journeys. It is half the weight of many electric bikes and the electronics are very discretely hidden. It feels just like a normal bike and even rides well with the power off.”
The bike will retail for £799. Alternatively the Raptor can be purchased at £999 with a second ‘range-extender’ battery for longer journeys. The second battery will add just under 2kg to the overall weight of the e-bike. The second battery fits on the frame above the first and when the first battery runs down you simply swap the empty battery for the full one. Swapping “takes under a minute” says Miall, since the batteries have been designed to attach and remove (by unclipping it) with ease.
