XT60 v bullet connectors

Hi all,

I'd love to hear your thoughts on replacing power wires that have bullet connectors with XT60 12-gage connectors - would you recommend this?

I do this on all my kit, or to XT90 where appropriate.

But make sure you get the polarity right when soldering the wires into an XT60 connector. Controllers do not like being wired up incorrectly!

I think its reasonable to use the XT60s. I have on mine.

For one thing, once fitted correctly, your not going to make a mistake re-connecting the battery if your attempting to fix something miles from home, deep in a forest, in the dark.

The plastic surrounding bullet connectors on my battery mounting plate were a bit melty:






...so I soldered the battery mount wires to the controller's instead. Thank you for that advice @saneagle

Are XT60s and XT90s waterproof, or are there waterproof variants? I did see some Anderson Powerpole connectors purporting to be waterproof somewhere.
