Wrong model

I thought my Powabike was Mk 1 the side covers just lift off the motor. I wondered why I was not getting any replies, and it was posted in the wrong forum..I found that the wires coming from the wheel had been almost cut and badly frayed. I want to replace them but I don't want to damage anything. What side do I tap the spindle on to get the motor out of the wheel, and any tips on servicing would be appreciated. The bike is older than I thought but the motor works and looking at the tyres hardly used.,shame not to revive it. regardswheel.PNG.439783012fdd2ae537a1c21e6b7a4fe3.PNG wh1.PNG.3496c4f908d4b84b06aa33744e5cc480.PNG wh1.PNG.3496c4f908d4b84b06aa33744e5cc480.PNG
I haven't dismantled one, but it looks to me like you need to bend the wire into its slot, then tap the axle with a plastic or copper mallet on the wire side, and the cover on the other side should pop off as you tap the motor core through.

That's what I thought, but if you don't ask you can do more damage. I saw that Flash has had powabykes in the past so I sent a post to him and he has also serviced them. I hope I sent the post correctly. Thank you I appreciate your quick reply. with kind regards.
