Overall:
Apart from the minor annoyances (battery handle, no rear disc mount) I am very happy with this bike. Battery performance seems reasonable for a very overweight user, so for typical people it is probably good.
Approx 15 miles per week on flat roads.
Good:
- Carries me uphills, even though i am well over the recommended weight.
- Noticably more pulling power than other hub-drive bikes i have tried.
- Gets me to work without breaking a sweat
- Comfy seat
- Reasonable price
- Step-through frame
Bad:
- Battery has a very small finger-handle, which makes it painful/uncomfortable to get leverage when removing the battery from its housing. Lots of leverage is often required (ouch).
- The bike is supplied with rear v-brakes, which is fair enough. However the frame has no mount for a rear disc brake. So if you want to upgrade, you wont be able to.
- The front disc brake performs well, but it was difficult to locate replacement pads. in the end i replaced the disc caliper with a more popular one, so pads are easier to find.
- Pedals were a bit small and uncomfortable so i replaced them. (i think...might be remembering wrong there).
