Seems like I've narrowed down my preferences to the following two bikes:
Karoo
And:
eco expedition
Reasons being, I'm an infrequent rider, but would like to get back into riding, possibly to commute to work also.
Whilst I do a physical job, I wouldn't say I'm fit, though I'm not really over weight, I'm 5'11 and I'd guess 13.5 stone and in my mid 40's - things are starting to go south .
I like the look of hybrid style bikes and would probably mostly road ride with the very occasional off road cycle path perhaps.
The price point is important too and these are quite similar in price.
Plus points of the Karoo, I like the look and finish, I prefer a rigid frame and forks. Good battery size/range, positive review on here, those large wheels should be good for the road...but also look awesome. Weight of the bike. Edit: Also has quick release motor cable
And the eco expedition, more gears, better looking display and control's. Quick release connection to motor (easier to take rear wheel off). Sealed bearings for headset and front wheel. Slightly cheaper pricing. I still think this is a great looking bike.
So I've got to investigate test rides for them, a bike lock, and insurance.
